I have to say, Leonard forgiving his mother was some fantastic writing. As cathartic as it would have been to have him finally get her in some sort of glorious all-out fashion, His response, which she's always prided herself on being able to predict, could not have been better. And her finally realizing the effect she's had on him all these years, cherry on top.

I love this season. Note that it is a lot more serious. Some people complained that it's not as funny as previous seasons, but I like that they've brought the characters we love into serious territory. Used to be that the situations themselves were funny/set ups for jokes. Now the situations are serious with jokes interspersed in the stories. Except for Stewart who still mostly has the comical B stories.

Hi, Olesya! Completely agree, Leonard & Beverly resolving their problems seemed weird, then deeply emotional. Very satisfying. Amy & Sheldon resolved their problem with Campbell & Pemberton. Raj resolved (broke up) with Anu. Denise & Stuart committed to each other. Of course Bernadette, Howard & their kids have been settled. What in the world could happen by the series finale??? 🤔 LOL Excited to see your reactions to the rest. As always, thanks for sharing!

I will defend Momma Hofstadteter in this circumstance. She raised three children, two of whom turned out to be highly successful, but it seems that only Leonard found true happiness. Leonard matured enough to leave a toxic relationship on his own, gaining the closure he needed. He has found the girl of his dreams, the job of his dreams, the friends he never thought he would have, and the family he believed he did not deserve. A parent's job is to raise a noble citizen who contributes more good than harm to this world, and Leonard is that person. Was she a perfect mother? Absolutely not. However, she did the best she could with what she knew. Leonard's ability to forgive her acknowledges that none of us are perfect. The only thing we can control is our actions in response to the events that happen to us, and Leonard truly excelled at that in that moment.

Hey Olesya, will young Sheldon episodes will come at same pace like tbbt on YT ?!
@rakuengrowlithe465429 күн бұрын
This is one thing I don't like about TBBT, that resolution with Leonard's mother. She knew what she was doing; Sheldon doesn't realise when he was a jerk but Leonard's mother knew and she was trained to know psychology, so she absolutely could evaluate her own behaviour. She showed no real remorse, she would have kept doing the same thing over and over. Leonard shouldn't have forgiven her, he should have just cut her out of his life. I'm not a fan of cutting people off completely but that was a situation where it was the right call.

I accept that I am of a rather limited mindset based on my upbringing and other life experiences during my formative years.. they WILL hinder me.. Emotionally.. but I WILL try to be a decent human being and focus on what I DO know rather than what I feel comfortable with, and what IS a problem rather than things that I have been conditioned to think of as odd. so.. I SERIOUSLY.. think that the guy at the end saying.. "don't say it to me.. sy it to her".. actually was.. creepy, BUT.. also.. I don't think he was a bad person.. I have NO reason to think so, he just behaved outside of the norm within which I'd expect people to normally behave. .. He didn't let jealousy create problems.. he may have been barking up the wrong tree when saying "now say it to me", but also.. he never showed any actual hostility to anyone, or did anything else "bad".. I do NOT know what his "deal" was.. but... it SEEMS like it was good enough for the "her" to actually be prepared to move in with him.. and.. also.. he accepted her love for someone else without getting angry.. at no point did he seem to get angry with anyone.. I don't know what he "appreciated" or not, but I KNOW he didn't do anyone any harm. hence.. as of yet.. he seems to be more of an "open spirit".. possibly the PERFECT person to be part of a poly-amoric relationship.. or.. whatever..I don't know..and.. I don't recognize it, and I probably WOULD feel extrenely uncomfortable (but also; I grew up in a neighbourhood where there were no people of African descent- except two adopted kids.. one of which I saw shoplifting the first time I saw her), no open homosexuals, etc.. so.. IF we are talkinga bout my history and my mindset.. I reserve the right to be uncomfortable with ANYTHING.. including Transgender.. but also.. I wish Transgender people to have a good life.. ME not feeling comfotrable with it, undeerstanding it, etc isn't an issue.. I KNOW that science is the REASON why homosexuality is no longer considered neither a crime NOR a mental disease.. Science actually validates transgender.. and.. even if it didn't, I STILL recognize the difference between letting my own comfortzone being the ruler for the world.. I can be uncomfortable.. I look at if there is ACTUAL harm done.. and.. that guy.. is strange.. and.. feels creepy.. but.. him FEELING creepy.. doesn't mean there is anyything wrong.. it only means.. "I didn't recognize and understand this".. until he DEMANDS things, uses emotional black-mail, and so on.. he is just a guy living his life the way he feels is right.. and as of now.. it even seems like he kind of helped them.. perhaps hoping for something outside of THEIR comfortsone and asking for it.. but.. never demanding int.. never shaming anyone.. never.. trying to FORCE them.. never insulting anyone.. never pushing anything.. and so on.. he just seems perfectly find to me.. IF I accept that my own sensitivities of "what is normal" just isn'st anything I should feel entitled to MAKE the world agree with.

However, I genuinely enjoyed it, but found the constant negativity tiring and you made it possible for me, to see it again and I was right, it was brilliant. While i do think it's an ok ending and instead of going and getting the girl who he was mildly engaged with, he ends up on his own (in a healthy way) i do feel a little bad that Raj was the one who ended up alone in the series. He has a happy ending in his way. Mixed feelings about it. About Beverly, i would've just straight up kicked her out of my life to never come back after Leonard forgave her, like a "i forgive you, but do not ever ever appear in my life again".
@lonesaviorАй бұрын
I was especially disappointed because Anu felt like such a good match. One of Raj's problems was always chasing the big romantic moment and stressing himself out with it or getting tripped up on the smaller things important to a relationship. Meanwhile, the most romantic scene between him and Anu is their romantic plans falling apart and they end up having to be vulnerable with each other. I honestly think it was the best written romance in the series.

There was talk of possibly having them get married, and giving them a spinoff series, "Anu/Raj" ("A New Raj"). But nothing came of it.
@ErnwaldoАй бұрын
@@violenciariba666 I was never a fan of Anu. Probably just me. I like the Raj character and it would have been nice to have him meet a life partner, but the humor with him always blowing it worked for me. I was more happy with the Stuart & Denise pairing. I heard they’re attempting a spin-off about them. That may be funny.

3:40 Nice reaction! 3:57 After Amy's outburst, Sheldon and Amy took some time off of work. So Kripke couldn't find them. This could be their first day back at work, therefore his first chance to help them. 9:56 That's true. 12:05 Nice reaction! 13:02 You said the same thing Amy did. 13:32 I think you know it by now, but yeah. They're both out. Pemberton is out because his cheating was exposed and he was fired. Campbell's name was on all of that plagiarized work, so he was probably fired too. 14:38 You said it at almost the same time she did. 17:02 Umm... why should she pay? She doesn't live in Howard and Bernadette's home. This is on them. They told Stuart it was okay for her to bring girls over. Howard says they were making fun of him. Well, I'd say that continuing to invite her over is the best way to get back at them for making fun of him. 17:41 He's not the neighbor. He's her roommate. When Stuart refused to move in with her (in the paintball episode a few episodes ago), she got another roommate, and it was that guy. 19:29 Why is that sad? Leonard's mom is great. Raising her kids like experiments seems evil, but it's actually great. She really cares about her experiments and she will do whatever she can to make sure they go well. And they did. All 3 of her kids are highly successful. She is the perfect mom. She's the mom I wish I had, and I had a great mom. If I become a parent, I will be like her. "Sigh," Leonard just doesn't see it. Sheldon eventually realized many of the great things his dad did, but Leonard never developed that same kind of wisdom. It was really cool that, out of all people, Kripke was the one who helped Sheldon and Amy take down the bad guys. Kripke, the last guy you'd think of when you think of people who'd want to help Sheldon and Amy. Initially, when he said "I hate that guy," I thought he was just saying that to get Sheldon and Amy on his side so he'd sabotage them. I didn't for one second think Kripke really hated the guy. It was great. Kripke had been a bad guy throughout the whole show, and near the end of the show's run, he does something extremely good. Granted, it's not because he turned over a new leaf or wanted to become Sheldon's friend or anything. It was really only because Sheldon and Amy were the lesser of 2 evils to him. He knew either they would get the Nobel Prize or the weasels would get it. He really REALLY didn't want the weasels to get it so he had to help Sheldon and Amy just this once. No matter the motive, Kripke finally did a good thing. It could also be argued that this episode reveals why he'd been the way he was throughout the whole series. Somebody stole his work, which hurt him deeply. Sometimes, people turn evil after that. he may particularly hate Sheldon because throughout the whole series, he sensed that Sheldon would achieve the kind of success that Kripke couldn't achieve because it was stolen from him. The annoying thing about the episode is the whole supposed moral dilemma about exposing a cheater. I'm not seeing how if you expose a cheater, that makes you the bad guys. Just do it. The 2nd one is also a very noteworthy episode. It's the last appearance of Leonard's mom. It's the last appearance of Denise. It's the last appearance of Anu. We learn a little more about Leonard's mom's research and her parenting. Raj breaks up with Anu and is the only main character who remains single. Stuart moves into Denise's home. After almost 11 years of no success in his business and his love live, Stuart is thriving in both areas in the end.
