that's interesting: heartharena says cat trick has synergy with tundra rhino when it absolutely does not. cat trick can never proc during your turn, meaning tundra rhino's charge value doesn't matter.

Heartharena has *a ton* of wrong and pointless "synergies." Look at pick #24: Wisp has synergy with Animal Companion. Apparently, the syngergy is that it's cheaper than three mana and has a chance to get +1 from Leokk. #27: Big Time Racketeer has synergy with Shaky Zipgunner. ADWCTA high af.

The animal companion one i agree with you on, but the big time racketeer i would say has some synergy just because playing a 3/3 and a 6/6 with 6 mana is very efficient

Thomas, that's not "synergy"; that's the Zipgunner's effect. It has this "synergy" with all minion cards.

yes it is his effect but let me put it this way, on turn 6 would you rather play a 7/8 minion, or a 3/3 and 6/6? the latter is better therefor he has more synergy with the racketeer than he does with another 6 cost minion, well with most other 6 cost minions

If you all are wondering about why Baron Geddon took damage from hitting the Rogue, let me explain. When a Hero has a weapon and it's their own turn, they have attack value, (other ways to give heroes attack value is to use spells like Feral Rage, Heroic Strike, etc.). So, just like minions when they have attack value, they deal damage not only when they attack things, but when they get attacked. However, it's almost impossible to attack a Hero while they have attack value, because there's almost no way to give a Hero attack value on their enemy's turn, or to make something attack them on their own turn. I believe the only exception is Misdirection, like we just saw with Baron Geddon.

The really underwhelming Arena classes are Paladin and Warrior right now - also seen in your select on the Start.^^ (Also Druid competes with them) Since spells are more popular and also rarer card, they are falling behind. Hunter for example has good spells, also rare ones (like CalloftheWild) and good rare/epic cards. That also showcases the rise of the Mages.

Hunter is good in Standard Arena because it's easy to draft a smorcy hybrid deck but hard for everyone else to draft heals and armor. Basically until 6 wins everyone is a rogue (all face damege is permanent)

Interesting, at 7:22 the geddon takes one damage from the unsheathed weapon........I have been playing since beta and didn't know that was a thing ;_; Now hype for future weapons that don't sheath on opponent's turns.

My unluckiest moment: I topdecked the knight chest piece and discovered a hammer of wrath from it. That extremely lucky moment gave me lethal. I was about to use my hammer of wrath to blast through his taunt, but then I decided I would taunt him with a few emotes first. So I tried to put down the card so I could emote, but I was playing on my phone so I ended up blasting my face and losing the game. It was an arena match too. RIP my only good arena run.

It's hard to say how different Arena really is. Instead of Mage having Flamestrike, they just get lots of Blizzards and Volcanic Potions.

Matthew McRae yeah I think if a hero attacks using spells or hero powers that give them damage like Druid he gains 1 attack without weapon. If you attack without using weapon you shouldn't take damage but if you use weapon you should take damage. Also minions should get damaged when attacking the hero if the hero has a weapon

Shadow Spoon Thought so. Minions taking damage when attacking heroes with weapons equipped would be great for control decks, no? If some new weapons were printed with this concept in mind, people might think twice before going face, just a thought.

dimitriuss its a bug, minions are not supposed to take damage when attacking heroes. There are some bugs related to a hero taking fatal damage, for example druid used to get its attack increased when he died

Willy Coffee its not a bug. since it was the rogues turn, his weapon was active (you can see that he has one attack like a minion and it disappears when the rogue ends his turn). therefore, when a minion attacks the rogue during their turn, itll take dmg equal to the amount of their attack, like a minion attacking a minion. if the rogue (or any class) had a 5 attack weapon, they would kill the geddon. you dont see it often as its very rare for a minion to attack a hero during their turn

Fuck misdirect, I used it against a paladin who killed himself with Wickerflame and dropped under 0 health and healed and didn't die complete bullshit. It deals damage first then heals.
