Junior always loved Kris for who she was and Matt always treated like a prize to be won. I was so glad that Kris and Junior ended up together and that final season was the two of them making sure the people around them knew they were done with letting other people's bullshit problems with the two of them being together were no longer going to keep them apart.

My god, I'm watching this series now and I've been in love with them since the 1st episode of the 1st season when I knew it would be them they are each other's first in everything how I wish I had seen more of them in their married life

Matt never treated her that way, ever. If anyone is guilty of that, it’s Junior, i.e. chasing Kris despite knowing how his bff felt about her. His intentions changed, but still.

@@nikig2382 Wrong. If it weren't for Kris and Junior, Matt wouldn't have a horse ranch and his mother would still be running the dude ranch. They told Matt about Flame and when Matt was able to acquire the dirty dozen (Junior was going to put his own money into it) they didn't ask for some of the horses. They wanted to see Matt succeed. Matt was mad every time he saw Kris and Junior together, even before they became a couple. I think Matt's true love is Dani, and the only reason they didn't get together is because of Matt's mom who hated the Davis'. And, not until Dani "picked a side" was Jean able to accept it.

I love that she ended up with Junior (the guy who loved her unconditionally through every season even though she didn't choose him in the same capacity in s2 & s3 ). The obvious choice for Kris would've been for her to end up with Matt so she could stay in her comfort zone and keep holding on to the idea of rain tree as her home. I'm so glad that she had the guts to actually let go of that fantasy realizing that Junior was always there for her without conditions in ways that no one else ever was.
