I don't know about the quantity of subscribers, etc., but the quality of this channel and the quality of the community around is what matters for me! Lately, I found myself subscribed to just a few guitar channels, because these are THE ones that are interesting and impressive. And this one is always on the top of the list, no matter what the stats are. It feels like coming to hang with old good friend talking about guitars and stuff... . Thanks for your approach, content, and attitude. 🤝❤️🤘

I enjoy every aspect of your channel, I think the gear reviews are truly sincere, it would be nice to have the odd interview with the pedal/amp/guitar designer or tech team so that we can learn what they were going for and why. A series about travelling guitar techs how they setup for gigs, tips and tricks for a seamless show etc just an idea. Thanks for an awesome 2024 and have a great new year.

Well Kris, the growth is definitely deserved and will come stronger in the month to come I am sure of it. When you look at the figures ... well almost 50 000 subscribers, it is 3 times the population of my town !!! This is amazing. But I understand the frustration, because you obviously invest a lot of time in your own channel (and work fulltime for Thomann's !!). I am not concerned, you will get there because your content is interesting, the quality is really good and you project good vibes. Oh and you play amazing, that should count a bit also 🙂 As for the content itself, I must say that I am not a pedal person so I don't always watch every video about that, but still a lot, for sure. And you are one of the few that can force me to get stuck to my chair for that kind of content ;-) I enjoy much more the tech side of things and I will love the modding of the LP Jr. Please take care, have a nice holiday season and we will see you soon in 2025. I am looking forward to it.

I know how you feel as I have a Blog, Stomp Box Steals and I know have over 1,328.000 but it took 9 years. I can remember when I got to 3 and was amazed as it meant 'a few' not just 'a visitor', LOL I found in the end people come to hear and see a point of view, not just display of flash guitar without even a comment. They want to hear enthusiasm but they want to see disappointment when it is valid. They totally hate to see indifference.

Hi Kris: yeah, it's a lot of work and can seem ungratifying sometimes... I know quite a bit of KZbinrs that feel that way: the solitude of a slope skier who runs against himself. You're doing pretty good stuff in a very friendly, communicative way. As long as you have fun and feel the need to share, just keep on ! You're doing great: cheers :) Rene

Kris, the last part of your video (talking about channel growth) really stuck to my mind. I can tell from my heart, that your channel is one of the highest quality KZbin Channels when it comes to Gear-Reviews and Sound Demos. And I know a lot of channels... Offering the highest quality, doesn't automatically make you the most popular one. Ask me, how it know that as a builder of Premium, Hand-Wired Tube Amps... 😆 But I think the most important thing is to stick to your values and quality standards and not trying to be "fancy" to have some short-term results. That will not be yourself. At least that's my believe: Quality will always pay out in Long-Term... but it's a Rocky Road!

I think the Thoman channel holds this one back - from a viewers perspective. If you look at any channel that also works on a bigger main channel its always the same. You have a choice to make - either way your stuff is awesome

yes, but you have 50,000 analog vintage guys which are a direct reflection of you Kris. Quality viewers over quantity! lol Great job on content and hard work. The numbers will hit a critical and rise quickly. The hundredth monkey!
@raul205021 күн бұрын
The channel, if I'm not mistaken, is focused on reviews. Perhaps opening up the spectrum would help. I'm very passionate about guitar tones, both electric and acoustic. On the other hand, there's the educational aspect, which could also be explored. And I think wrapping the content in a way that seems like a story is being told could also help. You are doing a very good job.
@FendCore20 күн бұрын
Please don't focus on numbers, I'm afraid that looking after more subscribers too much would compromised the content! You're one of the only guitar channel I still take the time to watch... Because you talk to kinda geeks like you, probably a bit of a "niche" audience, but that allow you to go much deeper into the subjects than others. As always, quality isn't link to quantity. If numbers aren't reflecting enough all the energy you dedicate to your channel, I would suggest you to compare the comment section of the "successfull guitar channels" you mentionned :P With love 😙

I like your videos. I like your calm and personable style. From my own egocentric view, if somebody makes a video about something that interests me, I might watch it several times. If it doesn't belong to my interests, I skip it all together. I think growth comes from being the first to review a very coveted product, so you'd have to be well connected and, well, first. You should decide for yourself if that's the way you want to go, or rather review some less common alternatives and spend some more time in making a quality video rather than serially reviewing products after using them for a few hours. I respect Pete Thorn, he's a great musician and his videos show quite honestly what a new product can do, but I don't think he uses most of what he reviews. It's just a different ballpark than spending more time talking about your own experiences and projects. It's a different sort of subscriber that just wants to be first to know about a hot new product versus actually having interest in the person behind the channel. My best wishes for 2025!

Everytime I hear someone saying that he dont like tweaking while playing a digital rig I dont get it. Havent you a huge ass pedalboard? Most of the time using digital Amps you are just tweaking with the Amp and IRs. Thats so much less stuff to work with compared to the pedals. Sure you may have some modulation stuff in your chain too but most of the modulation pedals like those bigger strymons need to get programmed anyway. I just dont get it.

Do what you enjoy. Easy for me to say when I don't need youtube to pay my bills. The almighty algorithm seems to force the stat chasers into clickbait titles, gormless thumbnail faces, endless shorts, staged controversy etc. I seem to drift away from the obvious exploits after a while, but it also seems I'm the exception.
