Heirloom Series End Grain Butcher Blocks - The 1st full production video to come out of the new shop!
KZbin has lead us on this crazy journey - Hobby to Manufacturing part 2.
Part 1 was putting this shop together and getting it fired up, • From A Hobby To Manuf... .
Part 2 here is the shop in full motion while I try to figure things out and have my grand opening to the local public here in Eagle River Alaska.
13 months ago we put out the video Hobby to Business part 2 (4 million views). A documentary of sorts of our journey.
Production of this shop consists of cutting boards, butcher blocks, cheese boards, coasters, tables, countertops and more.
Dec 27 2020- The video that set things in motion to go from a once a year hobby batch of boards in my tiny shop.
• 21 Cutting Boards Sold...
We started producing product in the new shop early Dec 2021
The two videos that solidified going from a hobby to business to now having the facility and customer base that we have now. Part 1 and 2

I love the long forms watching you work so hard. You sir are what small business is all about. You’re an inspiration to anyone and everyone. Your heart and soul is in it to win it from beginning to end. I get choked up seeing how beautiful your products turn out. Keep up the great work you do. Yes passions turn into a full time job but then become a passion again later in life. Daily grinds are always a toll on the mind, body, and soul, but always the ends justify the means. Seeing the smiles on faces of customers that send you videos are what it’s all about. I’ll be checking out your website soon and regardless how long I’ve to wait I want a piece of history from you regardless how often I use it because when I look at it I’ll know a true craftsman is and was passionate about his work. Thank you.

Been making high end furniture for 27 years… yep… you are balls deep now. When you own a Taylor rack, and big sanders like that … yep.. Yer in deep. Now you just need years and years and years of doing it to learn all the small tricks.. and eventually it just flows. And the wood does speak to you . Congratulations!!

Kris, I am watching your videos from Germany and can only express my sincere appreciation and respect for the content you publish. There is a) your attention to detail and quality. It is so much more enjoyable to see quality happening. Then there is the b) the amount of repetitive work that you carry out. You present it in a format that allows me to see the hours you put in without getting bored by it. And last there is c) your excitement at the end of the home-stretch. You make it look like it was nothing, but everyone knows that what you do means pain, hard work and countless long late hours. Thank you for doing what you do, filming it and putting it on YT. You deserve nothing but likes, subscriptions and countless customers who order your products!

I ran and cared for a 60” dual head wide belt sander from about 1985 to 1991, it was constant maintenance, don’t know how many times I resurfaced the platen. Was constantly adjusting the belt centering air controls. But the quality of what you are able to do with them is worth all the effort!

Finally! Someone who makes a point, and art! of bookmatching endgrain. I've watched so many craftsmen do their thing and, unless its a waterfall end or veneered cupboards/drawer fronts, it always leaves my slightly disappointed that people don't take that extra step showcasing the beauty of the wood through symmetry. It's so subtle I dont realise how disappointed I am, until the disappointment hits. Watching this mans work and seeing the end result makes all previous disappointment fade away. Thank you for sharing your craft and vision, it is greatly appreciated 👍

Have spent most of the day watching your videos and its amazing stuff really. I'm in the wine trade and we ship full wooden cases to clients, and I know shipments can get beat up. If you haven't looked into it yet some companies make these foam "suspenders" that can fit certain dimensions. I'm sure you could order them for your standard sized boards to ensure greater protection and efficiency. You are truly inspiring to watch.

Wow!!!!!!! Your shop is freaking amazing!!!! I'm struggling with trying to find me a "shop" to work out of. I live in an apartment complex, and space, along with doing any type of wood working isn't practical. I still do smaller projects such as making walking sticks, of various sizes, and hand carved patterns....but I seriously want to make bigger projects. I have made a few cutting boards and some other smaller items. I carry my table saw, and some other equipment, down stairs and outside to cut wood, and sand....but as I mentioned before, it's not very practical/efficient to operate a wood shop in this way. I don't let it discourage me from achieving my goals. My point of saying all this is, I see videos like yours, and it definitely inspires me to just keep going and do what I can for now. So I thank you for your videos, and awesome work!! Again, you have an amazing shop!!!!!
