English Translation of Shree Hanuman Chalisa with all 40 verses: (Cleansing the mirror in the form of my mind with the pollen of the lotus-feet of the Guru, I describe the unblemished glory of Rama, which bestows the four fruits.) (Knowing my body to be devoid of intelligence, I remember Hanuman, the son of Air. Give me strength, intelligence and knowledge and remove all ailments and impurities.) You, the Divine messenger of Ram and repository of immeasurable strength, are also known as Anjali putra and known as the son of the wind- Pavanputra. Oh Hanumanji, You are valiant and brave, with a body like lightening. You are the dispeller of darkness of evil thoughts and companion of good sense and wisdom. Shri Hanuman's physique is golden coloured. His dress is pretty, wearing Kundals (ear-rings) and his hairs are long and curly. Shri Hanumanji is holding in one hand a lighting bolt and in the other a banner with sacred thread across his shoulder. Oh Hanumanji, You are the emanation of 'SHIVA' and you delight Shri Keshri. Being ever radiant, you and hold vast sway over the universe.The entire world propitiates. You are adorable of all. Oh! Shri Hanumanji, You are the repository learning, virtuous, very wise and highly keen to do the work of Shri Ram. You are intensely keen for listening to the narration of Lord Ram's life story and revel on its enjoyment. You ever dwell in the hearts of Shri Ram-Sita and Shri Lakshman. You appeared before Mata Sita in a very tiny form and spoke to her, while you assumed an awesome big form and struck terror by setting Lanka on fire. He, with his extraordinary form, killed demons in Lanka and performed all acts of Shri Ram. When Hanumanji made Lakshman alive after bringing the 'Sanjivni herb' Shri Ram took him in his deep embrace, his heart full of joy. Shri Ram lustily praised Hanumanji's excellence and remarked, "You are as dear to me as my own brother Bharat". Shri Ram embraced Hanumanji saying: "Let the 1000 tongued Sheshnag (serpent) sing your glories" . Sanak and the sages, saints, lord Brahma, the great hermits: Narad and Goddess Saraswati, along with Sheshnag: The cosmic serpent, fail to sing the glories of Hanumanji perfectly. What to talk of denizens of the earth like poets and scholars etc even Gods like Yamraj, Kuber, and Digpal fail to narrate Hanuman's greatness in total. Hanumanji, You rendered a great service for Sugriva, it were you who united him with SHRI RAM and installed him on the Royal Throne. By heeding your dear advice, Vibhushan became the Lord of Lanka, which is known all over the universe. Hanumanji, as a child, gulped the entire Sun at a distance of 16,000 miles considering it to be just a sweet orange fruit. Carrying the Lord Ram's ring in his mouth, he flew across the ocean. There is no wonder in that. Oh Hanumanji, all the difficult tasks in the world are rendered easiest by your grace. Oh Hanumanji, You are the guard at the door of Ram's mercy mansion or His divine abode. No one may enter without your permission. By your grace one can enjoy all happiness and one need not have any fear under your protection. When you roar all the three worlds tremble and only you can control your might. Great Brave one, Hanumanji's name keeps all the Ghosts, Demons & evils spirits away from his devotees. On reciting Hanumanji's holy name regularly all the diseases perish and the entire pain disappears. Those who remember Hanumanji in thought, word and deed are well guarded against their odds in life. Oh Hanumanji, You are the caretaker of even Lord Rama, who has been hailed as the Supreme Lord and the Monarch of all those devoted in penances. Oh Hanumanji, You fulfill the desires of those who come to you and bestow the eternal nectar the highest fruit of life. Oh Hanumanji, You magnificent glory is acclaimed far and wide all through the four ages and your fame is radianlty noted all over the cosmos. Oh Hanumanji, You are the saviour and the guardian angel of saints and sages and destroy all the Demons, you are the seraphic darling of Shri Ram. Hanumanji has been blessed with mother Janaki to grant to any one any YOGIC power of eight Siddhis/chakras and Nava Nidhis as per choice. Oh Hanumanji, You hold the essence of devotion to RAM, always remaining His Servant. Oh Hanumanji, through devotion to you, one comes to RAM and becomes free from suffering of several lives. After death he enters the eternal abode of Sri Ram and remains a devotee of him, whenever, taking new birth on earth. You need not hold any other in mind. Hanumanji alone will give all happiness. Oh Powerful Hanuman, You end the sufferings and remove all the pain from those who remember you. Hail Hail Hail Lord Hanuman,I beseech you Honour to bless me in the capacity of my supreme Guru (Teacher). One who recites this Hanuman Chalisa one hundred times daily for one hundred days becomes free from the bondage of life and death and enjoys the highest bliss at last. Yuga sahasra yojana para bhaanu, leelyo taahi madhura phala jaanu Though the sun is millions of miles away/ you swallowed it thinking it to be a sweet fruit. Prabhu mudrikaa meli mukha maaheen, jaladhi laanghi gaye acharaja naaheen Holding the Lord’s ring in your mouth/ it’s no surprise that you leapt over the ocean. Durgama kaaja jagata ke jete, sugama anugraha tumhare tete Every difficult task in this world becomes easy by your grace. Raama duaare tuma rakhawaare, hota na aagyaa binu paisaare You are the guardian at Ram’s door/ no one enters without your permission. Saba sukha lahai tumhaaree sharanaa, tuma rakshaka kaahu ko dara naa Those who take refuge in you find all happiness/ those who you protect know no fear. Saadhu santa ke tuma rakhawaare, asura nikandana Raama dulaare You are the guardian of saints and sages/ the destroyer of demons and the darling of Ram. Ashta siddhi nau nidhi ke daataa, asa bara deena Jaanakee Maataa You grant the eight powers and nine treasures/ by the boon you received from Mother Janaki. Raama rasaayana tumhare paasaa, sadaa raho Raghupati ke daasaa You hold the elixir of Ram’s name/ and remain eternally his servant. I was so fortunate to visit this place last year. And even though it was closed for outsiders, they let me stay for a while and participate in agnihotra that was being performed. Afterwards, they were feeding lunch to the local children and I got fed as well. The head person at the temple told me that I was a lucky man, because of the fortunate timing that let me partake in the activities. Whenever I watch this video, I'm taken back to that moment and the trip in general where I got to feel the doings of Maharaji. Jai Hanuman!

I am from Newzealand and we recently had anti mandate protests at parliament grounds for 27 days. Thousands came. Tents everywhere….. the police broke the protest up using violence unfortunately. The khrinas were there…. Everyone loved them, they had a food tent which was very popular. My memories from the protest is the police pushing, punching, pepper spraying the people….. in the background the Khrishnas were singing their music…. It was so calming and relaxed the protesters I believe. Much love from Newzealand!!!!

For a beginner, it takes a lot of effort to memorize the Hanuman Chalisa if done without proper guidance. So, as good karma and without expectation/hope of any return, I've decided to share some guidance for beginner's on memorizing the introductory text on 7 popular videos not having the same. i.e. As an add-on to the many English texts / translations available on the internet, I will try to re-punctuate the introductory paragraphs to the Hanuman Chalisa text. I will try to do it in a way it makes it easier to memorize and the way many Indians write or memorize it easily. Listen to KD singing the chalisa carefully and you will observe him sing the introductory paragraphs the same way. Once you memorize introduction, you can start reading / chanting the entire chalisa alongwith KD to memorize the rest! Most of the internet translation read the introductory paras as: shrīguru charana saroja raja nija mana mukuru sudhāri। baranau raghubara bimala jasu jo dāyaku phala chāri॥ buddhihīna tanu jānikai sumirau pavanakumāra। bala budhi bidyā dehu mohi harahu kalesa bikāra॥ Rather a beginner may memorize it as: shrīguru charana saroja raja, nija mana mukuru sudhāri। baranau raghubara bimala jasu, jo dāyaku phala chāri॥ buddhihīna tanu jānikai, sumirau pavanakumāra। bala budhi bidyā dehu mohi, harahu kalesa bikāra॥ Also, though inner peace and god are everyone's to have - IRRESPECTIVE of religion, affiliations, race, etc., if possible and whenever YOU feel like doing so, try to know the mythology behind Hanuman (and it may magically become much easier to memorize the 40 hymns as you know the essense of those hymns). @@Ndefinitely Hanuman Chalisa is just singing Bhajan of Hanumanji. You may chose to learn it or not. It can have effect through bhakti only. If you have been introduced to it then it means you did some spiritual works in past lives like donations to poor, care & feed to animals, devotion to God, help to needy, defend the weak etc. However this Bhajan is not in Sanskrit. So it's vibrations aren't going to impact your brain memory & intellect. Only Sanskrit or maybe Tamil have that capability. These languages are very old and introduced to humankind by devine Sages. So if you wanna feel spiritual, Hanuman chalisa is good but if you want your brain to function more properly & have better functioning of body then Sanskrit only. It also betters the environment around. Every Mantra of Hindus is in Sanskrit, some of Shiva Agamas are in Tamil as well. Sanskrit is born out of Shiva's Drummer & Tamil grammer given by Sage Agatsya Muni. Most Original literature of Hinduism is written in Sanskrit like Vedas, Upnishads, Puranas, Mahabharat, Ramayana and most of Agamas except for some Tamil ShivAgamas. Then to provide their crux to local masses, local saints converted these texts in local languages. There are 100's of such local languages in India. Hanuman Chalisa is written in Awadhi which again is a local tongue in North India.
