Yes as per philosophy you are correct, we are souls nothing else. But due to adharma, abrahamic religions onslaught against Sanatana Dharma or Hinduism, we are forcefully set into the bracket of religion for our identity crisis. In Bangladesh and Pakisthan lots of Iskcon temples are destroyed and deities being vandalised it's our innate duty to get united and fight against these kaliyuga demons.
