Ran into Zenpai in a hero showdown and we got another classic runback. I learned a lot from this duel and he didn't run away for an hour so this was definitely getting uploaded. I want you all to learn how to get better against people who just hold block and parry so the ending result may be a little scuffed as it wasn't a properly set up duel. Everytime I see Krispy and Shitpai 1v1 I take a nap because we already know how Zenpai plays. Shit is a snoozefest with all the holding block for parries. Very skilled gameplay from the bot zenapi himself!

@@tronovonflidder775I agree, there are many different play styles and you have to be able to beat all of them in order to consider yourself a good duelist in BF2 but that doesn’t change the fact that playing overly defensive is much easier than playing offensive. Most players over level 70 have a good feel for parrying so waiting for your opponent to attack and then parry is much easier than finding an opening without getting easily parried as an offensive player.

@@James-ed5zu I mean, if you're low, you're low. If you swing when you're low and get tagged, that makes you shit at defense. People who get mad at defensive players are essentially just butthurt that you're not making the kill easy enough for them because deep down they know they aren't good enough to compensate for the sudden switch in defense. If you wanna beat a defensive player, you have to be unpredictable enough to tag them via jump swings, outparry them, slide behind em, abilities etc. If you can't do any of that, then you're simply not better. Defense is a check on people's ego. I've faced actual top tier players before who knew how to tag me via jump swings everytime by simply being THAT unpredictable. It was frustrating, and for like one round I was able to win by specifically switching up my movements, only for him to change up himself n' win the next, but regardless of anything, he was just better. If you are truly superior, the results will speak for themselves. If someone's defense is like hitting a brickwall, then their defense is better than your offense. You can be mad all you want, but as you said, the metric for a better play is not just having better offense than someone else's offense, it's also having the ability to overcome their defense.

@@tronovonflidder775 Did you read my comment? First I would like to ask, where exactly in my comment did I sound mad? I stated my opinion that is basically considered a fact in the battlefront 2 community, playing defensive is easier than playing offensive. I wasn’t complaining or saying that people playing defensive when they’re low is a problem, if you’re low you have the right to be defensive but if you play defensive throughout the entire duel without even swinging more than twice and just occasionally using an ability and parrying than your play style is easier than an offensive player’s play style. If you can’t land a swing on someone who is low there is a few things that are probably true: 1. You either have bad predictions 2. You are too predictable 3. You don’t know how to hook swing 4. Lack advanced Hook swing knowledge such as double Hook Swings, Lunge Hook swings, Bunny hop hook swings (of course only Grievous can do this one), or the ability to combo a hook swing off an ability (such as maul’s spin, Luke’s dash, Rey’s dash, etc…) Landing 1-3 hits on someone who is low isn’t hard, but playing against let’s just say a high level Obi wan who only holds block, parries, and then occasionally dash attacks is incredibly hard to beat, 90% of the time when playing against that kind of player I either win after spending 4 minutes slowly taking down his health or the round ends. Yes, Obi Wan is a defensive character but that doesn’t mean he’s strictly a defensive character, and what makes that play style annoying to play against isn’t the fact that I can’t land a hook swing, the problem is that a character like Obi wan has crazy good health regen and even if I land 2-3 hits he’ll be back at full health in like 15 seconds. The reason why I say holding block and parrying since the start of the match is easier is because an offensive player has to utilize every possible hook swing technique and ability combo possible (like a maul saber throw into choke) while also trying to make themself hard to parry just to get a few hits that won’t even do permanent damage on some characters, while the defensive player can just hold block and parry which isn’t difficult especially if they play on a high sensitivity which makes them hard to get behind. These matches just end due to time and can be annoying to play against after seeing this play style too much.
