For those outside of California, the hiking trails wrap around hillsides which if they catch on fire are danger zones. Dry brush covers most of the hillsides & on flat ground fire can travel 14mph or faster due to winds, overtaking hikers quickly. Thanks for the great Kevin interview!

Fun Hollywood story about songs. One of the choreographers of The Wizard Of Oz, Donna Massin (my pals Mom) was also the demo vocalist for a little song called Somewhere Over The Rainbow. When all was done the producers really tried to cut that song complaining that the whole rest of the score was lite operetta while the rainbow song was just pop and it didn't fit. Well, Donna fought like hell to keep that song in and eventually they caved and because of her we all will forever have this gem of a song. Re: Kristen Bell’s story about the final arrangement of songs used in the movie soundtrack of Disney’s “Frozen”… (Somewhere) “Over the Rainbow” was removed from the “Wizard of Oz” and then put back in a few times (for many different, and illogical reasons) before cooler heads persuaded L.B.Mayer to keep the song in the final version released in 1939!! MGM stopped production after serious injuries received by 2 of their actors and numerous technical issues delayed filming. Then Victor Fleming was hired to try saving the film with his uniquely fresh adaptation and a completely new strategy, and the rest is history!!
