I remember seeing a Broadway show a few days after 9/11. I was so grateful to those performers who managed to lift our spirits for a few hours. I’ll never forget that show or those actors.

I think the people we needed the most in the days after 9/11 were our entertainers, after of course, the first responders and medical professionals, we needed that release, everyone everywhere was so sad and devastated and not everyone could afford to go to a therapist so our entertainers were vital for release and levity. I know it was a major way that I coped with my own sadness and frustration was watching my favorite people on tv ❤ I ABSOLUTELY ADORE Kristen, she is so funny and beautiful and goofy and that’s just what I needed at that time 😂❤

We all know where we were when we heard it. I am interested in all stories from where people were when they heard what happened. I'm trying to convey to a small child this year what it was like and hearing what others were feeling, what they saw, what they did, is helpful.

To the narcissist, negative and rude persons commenting about her: Are you GOD knowing every thought and motive she had that day and when she talked about it in the interview? What did you do to contribute to helping anyone there in NYC and at the Pentagon also attacked that day? I disagree with her on one point. The performers ARE brain surgeons in a way. The effect of music and laughter has on us involves actual chemical and physiological changes in the brain. They undoubtedly helped countless people through a tough time.

In 1998 music legend, creative visionary Prince did a song called ‘The War'. A song over 20 minutes and in the lyrics at one stage he says: "I've gotta go home y'all... I've gotta go back to America I've gotta go get ready for the bomb Osama Bin Laden gettin ready to bomb America... you better watch out... 2001" Look it up. @@leif1075 I understand it was her/their take on it, just disappointing. Just expected more. But humans will be humans. I was not there either.. across america but I was there watching. I disagree with Kristen. They should not have had a show that same night or same week after 9/11. That's disrespectful to the family that lost love ones that day. I guarantee you that if Kristen would have lost her mother to 9/11 there is no way sa show would have happened. That's like record exec Clive Davis who discovered Whitney Houston who went on with his Grammy party in the exact hotel where Whitney died earlier in the day. We as Americans can't be that disrespectful in a moment of such great sorrow. But Kristen only cared about herself and convinced others to spit on Americans that passed on that day. That figures since so many of us are so disconnected with spirituality. I lost people that day and I would not be throwing a party or show as America was grieving that week.

@@mikeypiscitelli1130 Doing a show 2 days after 9/11 when there were still people trapped in the rubble and thousands more unearthed burning in the rubble for weeks was enough time to do a show ?? If there ever is a time to be a patriot is in times like 9/11. At some point you should say to yourself, you know what, this is the most tragic external attack on our country since the Revolutionary War. Maybe we should do what the rest of the country is doing and stop everything, especially during the same week of the attacks. I lost friends on 9/11. And there is no excuse that you could come up with that justifies doing a show just two days after while our country was still mourning. Mike take your sad a*ss excuse somewhere else because you will get no sympathy here !!!
