It’s a Livart LV-982 Electric Barbecue Grill. The Livart brand logo was what was fuzzed out underneath the “Orange Barbecue Grill” lettering.

Love this addition to the array! We're obsessed with everything TopChef for a reason. We want the deets and not because we're obsessed (okay, not JUST that) but because we love food: cooking it, serving it and experiencing other's joy when we get it right. I'm a better home cook for all of the episodes and spinoffs I've absorbed, and now I know how to convex/concave/what-ev snapper skin! For the eclipse I prepared a picnic buffet for all my solar friends with dishes informed by everything I've learned over the years from the TopChef enterprise, and a last-minute offering inspired by this very episode received high praise. So, thank you, TopChef, for not just entertaining but teaching.

I agree with this. She's so stiff and bland. Also, the contestants this season just don't seem to have a wow factor at all.

@@SarahR5338 She's gone through the baptism of fire, and numerous wringers in competing and winning TC, on top of actually running her own restaurant which makes her more qualified than Padma in all things culinary. Of course, when it comes to hosting what is most important is their likeability and presenting skills. Kristin has an upbeat and light personality, a marked contrast to Padma who was good at looking serious ,authoritative and glamourous all at the same time. The audience just needs time to adjust to the different energy Kristin brings to the comp . She's not here to fill Padma's shoes but to host TC. As for the absent wow factor in this season, that missing ingredient would be drama which is really the responsibility of the showrunners who need to bring it .

Honestly, I wasn’t looking forward to Kristen hosting after watching another show she hosted. I’d not seen anything more boring, but I’m enjoying this season more than I thought I would.
