+Dayln Morgan Glad you enjoyed it Dayln. The opening scene where Maria learns of Wilhelm's death, was similar to the beginning of Trailer 1 of this film, which aired prior to the France release of this film. Trailer 2, which aired prior to the U.S. release, started off with a humorous scene. Those who make trailers don't have the luxury of including extensive dialogue as I was able to do in this video, since their objective is to include as many brief video clips as possible in a two-minute trailer. Even though it takes much more skill and advanced editing techniques to make trailers, which gives trailers that professional look--I believe when it comes to acting performances which are dialogue-driven, in my opinion, it is sometimes best to keep editing to a minimal and just show the actors reciting their lines in their entirety and without cutting away to other video clips. And that's basically all I did with this video.

What happened at the end of the movie? I couldn't get what happened to Valentine..

The fact that Valentine disappeared into thin air without any explanation and without her ever reappearing shows that Assayas meant for this scene to be ambiguous and open to various interpretations. Some speculate that Valentine was so fed up with Maria's overbearing nature that she abandoned her in the mountains while others say Valentine may have been a figment of Maria's imagination. Another thing to keep in my is that many European art-house films have final acts which are open ended, which definitely appears to be the case with Clouds of Sils Maria. .

thanks for your kindness to explain me. I thought that valentine is not a real person so she's a figment of Maria's imagination. But not sure.. kinda like that mysterious end too. :)
