I do agree with you in most cases about shows returning, but the Wynonna Earp return is actually the only way to do it. If a show still has popularity and you want to bring it back, just a short special is perfect. That series always felt very "villian of the week" in it's structure as well, so it would be easy to just throw in another antagonist and resume play.

Yeah same, we were supposed to get a season 5 so this absolutely is NOT unnecessary. We all love this show sooo much and even if we don't get a final season or a spin-off we will absolutely take this

Would also like to know about "High School". I liked the (so far) only season quite a bit, but haven't heard a beep about it ever since it "aired". It probably wasn't really all that popular, but it can't be that expensive either. In regard to Kristen Stewart, I was trying to get tickets to a Berlinale screening of "Love Lies Bleeding", but those the Sunday screenings were sold out immediately, and the other dates were during my work day, so not luck there.

OK. I'm gonna forgive you though for not knowing how influential Wynonna Earp is to me and fellow Earpers. I grew up with this show and it made my life so much better back in the day. I had a sense of belonging with them and loved watching them coming together as friends and family for someone who is incredibly a loner. I'm not on Twitter these days since it locked me out of my account. I'm surprised in a good way that this is the first time I've heard of this. Also, you should try getting into it, it's beautiful and such a comfort show to me. Perhaps one of my favorite things to watch alongside other queer greats like Carol and the recent Tar which is a masterpiece. I love watching Yellowjackets, The S&X Lives Of College Girls, and also the recent Barbie. I have come to love its lighthearted topic and the atmosphere they have created for us as an audience to come along for the journey. It was truly beautiful. 🤗 ❤

Yeah I don't understand a word of what was said. This is something we have been fighting for since before 2019, the show was never officially cancelled and we were technically supposed to get a season 5. Any fan would be thrilled to get anything more even if it is less than what should have been.

Honestly I loved all seasons of Wynonna Earp, the ending was good, there were some loose ends that I wished they had time to wrap up like Eve. I was so excited when I saw the news of the special and I trust Emily Andras and I can't wait for it. Look is not a masterpiece, like you said is not prestige tv, but to me it was amazing. High School is great, tbh I haven't finished it, I'm on the last two episodes and I hope it is not cancelled If Buffy is remade I don't think I could see it, I don't know if it could live up to the original, I mean I'd give it a chance like Charmed but wouldn't hold my breath. Also did not know Dolly Parton was involved!!

Please do your research properly when you want to cover the news abt films/series. "Wynonna Earp Vengeance" doesn't pick up where they left off. There is a lot of press cover where Emily Andras explained why, when etc. There will be a time jump. Also, s4 was rushed and rewrtiten because of covid and change of politics at SYFY and NBCUniversal. Emily said herself, that there were more stories to tell in WE universe and Earpers were fighting all the time to bring it back. SYFY promised s4 and 5 at ComicCon in 2019, then cancelled s5. So it all makes sense if you were in the fandom.

I don't think it was terribly uncommon knowledge that Dolly Parton was involved int the original Buffy show and movie. It's one of those bits of trivia that just floated around, like Lucille Ball being behind the original Star Trek. Unless they just retcon everything, the state of the world in Buffy after the show and Angel is... really out there and I don't know if you could make a show about it to be honest. Personally, I'd love a Buffy reboot. I feel like there's a lot of potential in a modern revisit if done well and there are absolutely some things about the original that could be done better today if successful. There's also a fun but only semi-serious series of novels that follow Willow and Tara's daughter as a sequel to Buffy that I always thought could make a campy fun show. The two show's I've been the most surprised by the lack of remakes over the years have been Buffy and Xena, so I'd be all over at least trying either if one ever came.

True Detective was somewhat gay. The young indigenous woman character who played the adopted daughter of the Jodie Foster character was gay in the story, not mention that Jodie Foster herself is gay (unfortunately not in the show), and Fiona Shaw was in the show, another famous gay actor.

The buffy reboot is a hot topic on Buffy fan pages. And we dont want it. For starters, SMG is done playing Buffy. Shes been there done that. Niciholas Brendon cant even get his own life straight so i doubt he would come back. The best option would be start with a totally new slayer. Or hell even a group of slayers. Maybe the original cast could have cameos every once n a while. But SMG is the only Buffy. As someone whos an aspiring film maker and a starving artist, i think its bs that an actress the same age as me, a well known actress at that, cant finance her own movie. And expects people to do it for her. She must not want to make it that bad if she cant come up with the means for it herself. No hate towards Kristen. She's an amazing actress and I've been watching her movies ever since I was a kid. But that's all the more reason as to why I question her motivation to make this movie because it's not like she can't fund it herself.

Yeah, I don't want a Buffy reboot. There's no way that could turn out good, let alone great. As for Kristen Stewart's "passion project": the 2013 movie Coherence (ft. Nicholas Brendon btw) was made for $50,000 and it was pretty great. If she's unwilling to spend any money of her own it probably isn't something she actually cares about *that* much.

I never watched an episode of the S&tC reboot either. I don't understand what happened to Sara Ramìrez' career. She went from winning Tony's and sparkling on Grey's Anatomy to being considered the most annoying part of anything she's in. I watched a couple episodes of Madam Secretary, and she was hands down the most insufferable part of a show that was already so terrible I literally wanted to bi---slap it.

True Detective: Night Country - One of the clearest gay icons in America, Jodie Foster, who we have been pining for since the 70s when our queer, tween, little hearts fist saw her in Kung Fu, is not gay at all in this show (much like most of her body of work), though her adopted daughter is. That let-down aside, the story moves as slowly as a glacier, which is fitting, considering the setting. And all of it is based on an event from I think the 40s where a bunch of Russian students neatly folded up their clothes, then slashed their way out of a tent, only to freeze to death out on the Siberian tundra. Right down to the burned fingers and bitten-off tongue. /sigh Sadly skippable. Can we just get something new? I don't want to watch any more Buffy. Vampire slaying - overdone! Maybe try more The Last of Us, kay? If you want more Whedon-verse, how about a new Firefly, since it got canceled prematurely?
