My first thought when you said "In and Out Pie" was some type of pie with animal fries in the middle. I don't know why! But you should totally re-do this one in the future. Regardless, though, your videos are always masterpieces. :)

When I worked at in-n-out and we had no customers late at night while starting to break down equipment, sometimes we would make what we love to call, a potato bowl- you hollow out a whole potato and throw it into the fryer for a long while until it’s golden and crispy looking- whilst it cools we would take a patty or two and chop those up on the grill, adding chopped tomatoes, chopped slice chili’s, and a lil ketchup and a pinch of mustard for flavor let her simmer for a minute and then scoop all dat shit up and plop it into your crispy hollow potato and top with cheese to melt on top and wa-la! You got yourself a employee secret snack 🥔🍔

I think it would be a nice idea to make an actual crust with the French fries as you said (with eggs etc) and then break the patties and turn them into a meat filling using the vegetables and some spices. For the top of it maybe crumble the buns, mix them with a cheese of some short, spread it and bake it for a little bit until it has a nice golden-brown color❤️

Have you ever thought about doing a “part 2” or “Cooking with Kristen 2.0” where you can “revamp” certain recipes that you feel could have been better learn once you learn from your first experience/ experiment?? Then upgrade the recipe?! I know I learn soooo much when I try a new recipe & think “oh I’d do this different next time” I would LOVE to see that!

A cheese layer then some ketchup on top wouldve been a good addition - maybe try this again, but manipulate the ingredients some more!!! I habe had pie with a ground beef crust - it's amazing. Maybe instead of buying in and out use fresh ingredients and make something closer to a cheeseburger oie.

If it makes you feel any better about making eye contact with someone while shoving fries in your mouth, in college I once was sitting in traffic and I shoved a whole handful of pretzel sticks in to my mouth and then looked over and realized the guy in the car next to me just saw me do it. I also realized the next day that I hade like three classes with said guy. So moral of the story is be happy you’ll probably never see them again 😂
