My dad passed away on January 28th. Today is April 21, and it's hard to believe it's only been 3 months since he was laughing and healthy. He's in Heaven now with my mama who died of pancreatic cancer in 2017. I picture them smiling & hugging each other, with each of their families waiting with open arms to embrace them in a precious reunion! This is the promise of Heaven for me and all Christians! My grandma passed away recently and she was my last grandparent to go. I’ve found it really difficult adjusting and accepting that it’s all over and the end of an era as I was so close to them and spent a lot of my time caring for them in their final bits of life. I ended up doing my grandmas end of life care for her recently and often listened to music while I was driving home the week she left us. Thank goodness I didn’t hear this sooner because I’d have been more of a mess than I am now. This song really got me bawling my eyes out, thinking about everything.
