I've trained hard through the decades, 51 now, excellent advice here as usual guys, just want to add- listen to your body. Recovery is absolutely most important thing. Injuries now take forever to heal...so don't get injured!

I think the key to fitness is keeping it up throughout the years. I just turned 64 and still weight training fairly heavy in the gym 4 to 5 days a week. Had a hip replacement 4 months ago and so I’m able to hike again with no pain and getting back into a little bit of easy low impact running and biking. I’ve been active all my life, probably more before I turned 50 though and I eat healthy 80% of the time 🙂

Just turned 40 and my fitness has taken a backseat in the last 2-3 years. I just signed up with Ibex Training. Looking forward to getting back in shape and fit

Ha! i’m training in my 60s and will turn 70 this year. But I work out seven days per week, alternating upper body, lower body (both with core), isometrics two to three days per week and climbing. I am CEO of a mid-size firm, so I’m busy there with no retirement plans, and I have several hobbies, so it’s not like I have nothing to do besides fitness. My key is just to be mindful that it doesn’t matter whether I feel like working out, often I don’t. It only matters that I do so.

I'm 35 and recently switched from training 4-5 times a week to just three. The quality of my sessions has gone up, my joints feel less beat up, and I'm less stressed about having to create time for the gym or missing sessions. And my numbers are going up, not down despite the lower frequency. Good luck in Hyrox! I did the pairs event in Manchester and it was a lot of fun!

2:31 So much perfectly good strawberry parts are being thrown out when cut like that. Combined that’s a few strawberries going straight into the trash. Get all of the parts you can eat and only toss the green part❤

Good content. I have found that diet and recovery are more priorities once your 30 +. I can still go hard, hit PRs, etc. But also have to take the time to recover more through Yoga and Contrast therapy. This year in general I have focused on 10,000+ steps a day. It does make a difference especially on the lighter/ recovery days. The movement helps recovery. Thanks for the videos, I enjoy your content, tips and workouts!

I am 62, Male. I have not noticed any decline in my physical strength, the only decline has been how many workouts I can do in a given week. I used to go 3-4 times a week, Olympic weight lifting, rowing, Kettle Bell forms of training, now it is at most 2 times a week, and I still am doing what I need to remain fit.

Work can get in the way sometimes but I sacrifice by leaving to them for my 2 hour workout, then coming back and working more. You gotta get it done.

Sleep is the hardest recovery solution that I have. I am a light sleeper and I usually only get about 5-6 hours of sleep each night. I don't want to take any type of sleep pills because it makes me feel like I have a hangover. Any suggestions on how to get a better nights sleep. BTW....I am 53 and training in Strongman. I do feel stronger than I ever have and at the end of the day.....Age is just a number and I know recovery is key.

More videos like this and training DAYS, like when you were going for the GAMES!!! PLEASE!! Also can you guys help me choose from two of your training programs, Comp Prep and Lift Run. I been doing Comp Prep for almost a year and I never been so fit in my life (I'm 47 and I feel great, but...), but there are some days I feel I don't recover so fast like when I was younger. Am I going to lose my gains (My muscle mass, my cardio, etc..) if I change to LIFT RUN? Thx and keep being awesome! Waiting anxiously for the new app! GOOOOO IBEXXXXX!!!
