Well done to both of you, very nice program of French music, played with taste 🙂 The trouble with the big theorbo is that you need a stepladder to change a string of the"grand jeu" 😅!!! In addition, in orchestral formations, the conductor often does not wait for us... I was obliged to collude with the harpsichordist so that he would block the conductor until I had finished modifying one of my bass. More seriously, I would like to point out that this "recital" mode where pieces are stacked in different keys did not exist at the time: beyond the issue of the bass strings of the theorbo, it is all the instruments, in unequal temperament, which would have to re-tune ! according to some historical sources, it is even to avoid this disadvantage that the "suites" or "partitas" were created: to allow playing in compatible keys without having to change the tuning. Despite... people used to say: Violists and lutenists spend half of the evening tuning their instrument, and the other half playing false! Not your case, thanks again 😂
