This is amazing. The Muses were the first band I ever saw live in '89 (opening for R.E.M.). I thought it was so cool that they were from 15 minutes from my house. Kristin continues to put out excellent music and her books are great as well.

My Brother and me went to see The Muses last night... they were brill! Kristin Hersh is something else.... she has that Ian Curtis/Jim Morrison other-worldly stare... and her intensity is striking. As for the rest of the band they were awesome too... showing a new generation how it's done!

Somehow Kristin Hersh can make a quiet song loud and a simple lyric keep you wondering. If you ever get the chance, see/hear her perform and/or get your hands on her recordings. The Real Ramona by Throwing Muses and Hips & Makers by Kristin are two of my all-time faves.
