I will never be convinced by any of these soap characters randomly deciding to have their first child and wreck their body for someone else like they're just lending them their car for a year. It's so weird and disturbing. Noooo thank you.

Are you referencing Bold and the Beautiful's when Nicole was a surrogate for Maya? It really is illogical and so emotionally complicated to have the sibling be both the surrogate and the egg donor especially when the couple can afford to hire a surrogate.

lord, they did it too? Young and the Restless and Neighbours both recently did it with gay female characters for people they weren't even related to. Y&R was straight up offensive. The others are just bad writing and gross. I know soaps love weird mashups of family lines for their babies, but these gross Hallmark surrogacies, particularly the ones using their token gay women, are the worst (besides literal rape)@@tambamf
