I am loving our Rivian R1T, but we leased it because electric definitely don’t hold any value. We haven’t had any issues so far (had it for 3 months now), so we’ll see. Sorry to hear your R1S is a dud. I would be upset too if that happened. My car is a BMW X3 M40i which I love but I am definitely considering an X5 for the massaging seats and the rear tail gate. I agree with you that charging your car from the comfort of home is amazing. I don’t particularly like getting gas at a gas station. Curious to see what car you end up getting next!

My family is an exclusively Lexus for luxury cars so highly recommend - esp if you can find a hybrid for the model you’re looking for!! Gives you the best of both worlds but I know they have been on a long backorder.

I have a Lexus SUV. It was built in the number one car factory on the planet. Not all Lexus cars are built in the same factory. It is wonderful! Super safe! Drove in a downpour with tons of water on the road. It was as solid as a rock. It has every bell and whistle on it. I absolutely love the car. I have not had any issues with it.

I don’t know if the GX will have enough trunk space. I have the Grand Highlander and the luxury equivalent is the Lexus TX. I also like the X7.

I’m sorry you’ve had such a bad time with your Rivian! I’ve had a wonderful time with my R1S. I’ve put on like 70,000 miles and only had an issue with a window, I absolutely LOVE mine! Hopefully you get what you need for reliability. Just letting anyone else know they’re not all terrible 😂

Volvo XC90 highly recommend we have the hybrid version but they have petrol or fully electric. The safety is unmatched and the car is huge (3 rows, 7 adults)

You may like the Acura MDX. It has a third row. I think they also just came out with an electric car that may have extra room also. I have owned several Hondas and an Acura and had great service with them. I currently have a Lexus UX 200 and enjoy driving it and have not had any problems with it.

I have a Lexus. It’s an older one 2011 es 350. I highly recommend Lexus! Best cars I’ve ever driven! It’s been in our family for a while now and no issues. Keep up with maintenance and you’re golden. 😊

A Lexus will run easily over 200k miles without a single problem as long as you keep up on basic maintenance. I got out of my Tesla into a GLS 580 because I wanted more space. I think it’s the biggest luxury 3 row SUV without going into a full size (like the Escalade or QX80). Worth a look but Mercedes can def be hit or miss on reliability. I’ve had Mercedes that would take me to the moon and another that I wouldn’t trust to take my family down the street. I’m in the same boat as you where I love electric cars but there just isn’t one on the market yet that is a “luxury family hauler.” Also, I think the GX doesn’t have much of a trunk if you have the third row up.

Have you considered the Range Rover Luxury 7. It has 3 rows and I think it’s a hybrid. I am not to. Familiar with the Lexus SUV. I love Range Rovers for higher end luxury and Toyota’s for more everyday.

Rivian are indeed POS’s - like they’re just not quite ready yet they’re inconsistent it’s like hit or miss if you get a good one -- they’re awesome but you get what I mean But Kristina I have a great vehicle recommendation for you!! Range Rover plug in Hybrid long wheelbase (7 seater) - best of both worlds you can get up to 70 miles of fully electric driving - and then once it runs out you can do the gas engine ..but I’m sure your daily commute will be under 70 miles a day no? Plus, these things WILL meet your luxury standards!! But, your Lexus GX idea is a great option too I’m in the car business, I’m an auto broker actually and have already had 2 of the new GX’s go through my auto films shop - they’re amazing !!

@@gerin.6418no what she said was 100k plus vehicles .. range Roger im referring to would likely be 150k She said if she goes with the GX it’ll lower her payment which is true just as long as she can get out of that rivian their resale is horrific. That’s why the lemon law is important in her case here - just sucks as she said it may take a while (too long)
