Yup. Go with gut. Not very often does dock talk work. Love LaCrosse! Haven’t been there in years.

I hate it when guys pull right in front of you and start fishing cause they saw you catch one. They probably figured you wouldn't say anything since you were a female and in a kayak. You handled that a lot better than I would have. You are knocking on the door, good luck in your next event.
@kristinefischer22894 жыл бұрын
That was frustrating - I’m sure they wouldn’t have done that if I were in a boat :(
@lancevoorhees73184 жыл бұрын
Are rules of etiquette observed of 100 yards from each other kinda understood? It seems with all that water around there would be no problem! I run into bass boats all the time and give them plenty of room but also continue to fish sometimes when they are within 60 or so feet coming towards me, I haven’t made anybody mad, but I will stand my ground in my kayak!

@@kristinefischer2289 Yes they would. There is no respect for other fisherman it seems. I see it all the time in pickwick.

Those guys were on the “Splash Bite” .... big boat jerks ... sorry had to say it . Way to overcome all the adversity of the weekend. Great that you were able to get a second drive unit delivered, you work that Hobie hard. Trust your gut you are an amazing angler. Good luck on the Susquehanna .

Kristine Fischer I’m sure you saw weights come out of the MLF event!? We have traveled to Washington Island on the tip of the Door County peninsula for years. We drive right through Sturgeon Bay to go up there. This will be our first time fishing the area. 🎣. Stay safe.

Tough luck. Hard to feel sorry for someone living the dream! LOL I an expert in my area catching snook. That said my last two trips produced zero fish. The last trip produced zero hits. Still, better fishing than not. Tight lines and God bless!

First, thanks for the video. The delta here is a confusing place at time so I always carry a small battery powered Garmin just in case the Lowrance unit gets weird. But... The thing that really got to me was the broken 360 drive. I have a PA-14 360 on order. I’ve head hobie yaks for 6 or 7 years and have never broken a drive ( I’ve bent a mast on a rock - easy fix!) so... What happened to the drive? How many hours were on it? Holy smokes - that’s got me a little concerned.

Never ever give up on pool 7. Moving on, hope you're getting on that night smallie bite on Mille Lacs, huge fish in that water. For fun you might want to throw a big spinnerbait or bucktail around the Southeast bays for some big northerns.
@kristinefischer22894 жыл бұрын
Mille lacs has been great!! And you’re right- I won’t leave 7 again!
@thomasjarosz74064 жыл бұрын
Kristine, mirage drive problems? Thought that never happens? You should start carrying two. Did you know that Oldtown Kayaks has a Minkota built in with autopilot and spotlock? You slay bass. It's a shame when your platform lets you down when it really counts. Stay safe from Pennsylvania . God bless
@kristinefischer22894 жыл бұрын
I’ve beat the crap out of this drive - only issue I’ve ever had with a Hobie drive, and it’s their brand new one. Always a few kinks - still hear less issues regarding Hobie than any other Kayak manufacturer out there. I love my kayak, it provides advantages FAR more often than it limits me!
@cliffordhutt1434 жыл бұрын
Tough break with the drive. That is a rough way to start a tournament. You're going to love the Susquehanna! It should really play to your strengths as one of the best smallmouth rivers on the east coast.

@catchofthedave86814 жыл бұрын
Yeah plus the way I look at it, If someone is telling me the fish are biting at X location, or I need to be fishing in Y area; unless it’s a close friend or a secret between a couple people, thats probably an area that is known and getting heavy pressure day in and day out; possibly even a blown out spot by tournament time. I don’t take information like that either. Also I usually think Im smarter than the average angler and can figure something out better thats to myself. The only time I do consider general info like that is if I just cant get on any pattern whatsoever, im having a terrible day, I can’t find them, and I’m frustrated.....so basically as a hail mary attempt.

I always enjoy your videos. Thank you for sharing. I too have learned the hard way to always go with your instincts...at least if you're wrong you never say maybe I should of....Always trust your gut. I gotta use google earth more, it seems to be a valuable tool to you. Take care and good luck on the Sus! Where are you guys launching from? I used to fish it all the time 25 years ago, so I'm no help now. LOL There is a technique that Ike shared, that might interest you.
