Thank you Eric Braeden for not only sharing your emotion in regards to Kristoff and his son, but, in showing your emotion in losing both Kristoff and his son. There is no shame is showing our pain in the loss of our loved ones. There is no shame in dealing with mental illness. It is all around us. I have it. Family members have it. My late brother suffered from it... It's sad to see people still struggling with it and the effects of it.... May all who have left us Rest In Peace...

Please try Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Had our brother known, the answer was Jesus he'd would have had the strength to carry on. I don't speak for him because his pain, no one can speak on. Being a parent and a Grandparent, has a huge weight that comes with it. In fact about 2 years ago my oldest Grandson, then 17 years old, in tears confessed his thoughts of suicide....shocked and sadden by the thought, this admittal sent his Dad and I into a world wind of anquish and despair, initially. We immediately got him into therapy. That alone was not enough. Because I am a Prayer Warrior, I consistently pray, everyday for him still. Because we elected and he agreed that drugs would only mount his problems, he pushed forward. He started working and to date is pursuing his Education, with hope of completing and working in his chosen career path. We talk often, in fact I call him more than he probably really want, but I need to know that he knows how much he's loved and appreciated. I HATE SUICIDE, I HATE DEPRESSION. Those are the enemy's weapons of choice. Love on your love ones, but teach them to learn of Jesus and his love and lean on him.. HE IS THE KEEPER OF OUR SOULS. RIH Kris💜🙏🏾

Been fan of R&R for long time. Eric and Kristoff were two of my favorites. Watching Eric talking about the loss of Great Guy and Long time friend is heartbreaking. I had the opportunity to meet Kristoff St. John many years ago. We mainly talked about his kids. He was very devoted father to his kids. After walking away from our conversation, I appreciated this wonderful man, so much more! He was so down to earth and real. No, Celebrity big-head. My heart was heavy after hearing about his passing. Every single living human being has something they're dealing with. People can be mean and cruel. Our Words and Tongue can be, more deadly than a gun...they both KILL! Bullying and Gossip has and will "Destroy a Person!" Next time you hear a verbally abusive person, Speak Up! Kindness is a Lost Art! Smile is Worth More than Gold 🙂 Eric your Class-Act! Braeden is an interesting guy. He seems like a very tough, straight talker. That being said, he clearly cares for his long-time co-workers. He chokes up here talking about Kristoff St. John. He also choked up when he spoke about Jeanne Cooper in Y&R's memorial show to her after her death. Victor will never be my favorite Y&R character (I prefer the Abbott family). However, Victor and the dedication of his portrayer, Braeden, are a significant reason the show has remained on the air in the past decade as its quality has swirled in the toilet bowl.

Love the way it was said re when you lose someone you love...even the way we talk about it...we say we've 'lost' someone as if we have hope of maybe finding them at some point...but, we do kind of live a double life. The show must go on...life goes on...and maybe while at the same time dying inside a little each day...until at some point, something can trigger us, and if/when that happens, the down spiral ignites & makes contact with the pain and is so deep & devastating that even fighting to keep in touch with reality and maintain that game face cannot conquer. Peace be with you, Kristoff.

This was very hard to watch, if it can bring a man's man like Eric Braeden to tears then you know he felt like he lost a family member and in a way he did, a member of his Y and R family, may Mr. St John find the peace in heaven he so richly deserved on earth...

When my brother told me about this, he said, hey big bro, that real cool black dude from the soaps just died, right away I knew, I refused to look at or, listen to anything news related that pertained to the passing of Mr. Kristoff St John but, even through my denial, I knew and, I am glad, that whatever his private sufferings were, they no longer weigh him down, may he rest in peace and, may he live on through his family and his art.

Thank you Eric Braeden for being open and truthful and sharing your feelings about Kristoff St. John and how the cast reacted to his passing. And being open on your thoughts about how Kristoff dealt with his son's death. You could have not shared but you did and that was very dearing. Thank you for talk talking about your cast mate and your friend.

To all mothers, girlfriends please stop telling your sons, nephews, brothers etc this bullshit about men do not cry or that they let their emotions show That is terrible advice! We humans are emotional beings and we should not stop our bodies from doing its job! If a man cries please go comfort him and tell him that you are there for him. This bullshit needs to end! Too many men suffer in silence and it is unacceptable

Everyone that I hear speak about him always has great things to say. There's a wonderful actress that fairly recently left General Hospital who spoke of her first encounter with kristoff. She said she met him and nervously told him her mom loved him on Y&R actually meaning to say she loved him. She then proceeded to tell him she was auditioning for a role on the soap opera, and wouldn't you know without missing a beat he asked if she had the scenes with her? She told him they were in the car and ran to go get them. He actually helped her over lunch running her scenes. He had never even met her before. By the way she got the role she auditioned for, and credits him for getting that job. Looks like the world lost a good dude. Rest in peace man.

wow, that was powerful. I have been watching the show for about 30 or more years and i can only imagine the devastating heartbreak that was felt throughout the cast of the Y and R, but to his family and out to the world. I burst into tears and truly cried for his passing. You do get attached to them as real people as another person on here said, it's hard not to bond with them. R.I.P. beautiful man :-( You will be sadly missed by millions of ppl...

Eric Braeden from the "Rat Patrol" to Y&R. I started watching Y&R as a high schooler and have not watched in years. But this is truly sad. You cannot carry the pain of others. Suicide takes more just that person. Please talk to someone don't let the sadness overwhelm leave us to grieve for you too.
