Kristoph is my fav aa character by far and I adored your takes on this! He is such an interesting character to dive into considering how ambiguous the game made him. His perfectionism and sense of self importance led him to success but also ultimately doomed him. It's funny the way he chooses to present himself charmingly and waxes poetry into everything he says in an attempt to exerts grandiosity exposed him in Turnabout Trump. I love how you mentioned the contrast between the disbarrment and Kristoph's relevation was ironic because Phoenix exploited the law against him; the same tactics Kristoph used for his gains. He wholeheartedly believes that he's above everyone and justifies his shitty behaviors moreover can't begin to fathom being affected on his own ends; which was so satisfying to watch crumbles at the hand of his most notable victim of moral superiority. As you said, I wished the game covered more of his relationships with Apollo, Klavier and Phoenix. These traits would massively affect them yet they chose to leave it underdeveloped. I love being brainrotted about him so much he's such an evil bastard with no redeeming qualities, by far the best villain in my opinion!

good video. kristoph is probably my favorite AA villain, it was the first case where we dont learn the motive after their breakdown and you keep finding out fucked up shit that man has done as the game goes on and the fact that there's probably even more stuff he's done that we dont know about is terrifying. good villain.

I love Kristoph and his role in the story. Even though Turnabout Trump is genuinely the best case in AJ, I think it kind of dampens the twist with Kristoph having it happen so early in the game. I think even having one case where we actually see Kristoph as a mentor, get his dynamic with Apollo and catch the small ways he acts with him and then get the twist with Turnabout Trump would really elevate him. The only note I have about how his character was handled bc otherwise Kristoph's genuinely menacing

THIS!! I have many visions as to what their mentor/mentee relationship would have looked like but they are still personal speculations. He was supposed to be the guidance to Apollo's pursuit of justice despite the events of the game. It is a pretty important gap in his role and character that I wish was explored more
