I had a knit shop in the 70s-90s and I carried Lopi. Reynolds Yarn Company published tons of Icelandic sweater patterns which are probably available on the secondary market. We all loved our Lopi sweaters and accessories!

Isn’t Iceland awesome! So glad you went. I bet you enjoyed how the people take pride in their country! I bought yarn at the airport for really cheap. I love knitting a little “ souvenir”, such as socks, from yarn I buy in my travels....

Love your Iceland videos. I’m knitting with plotulopi as I watch this! Not an Icelandic designer but a Jen Steingass design, Altheda.

Loved seeing all the Icelandic yarn - got an instant Inspo Flash when you showed us the stunning multicoloured pastel mohair skein someone gave you - saw an Elton-esque cardigan where the body was a light aqua (the sock yarn with silk would be perfect) finely striped with the mohair

The "mill" in Iceland is Istex (who spins the commercial Lopi brand). I believe they're the only one in the country, and they spin the lopi for Thingborg. :)

The Ca Ma Rose yarn is AMAZEBALLS. I bought a sweater's qty in Ireland to do Espace Tricot's Turtle Dove. The merinold is mulesing-free merino.

For your sparkly pink SQ - it sounds like you're saying merin-uld which would probably be merino wool (uld is definitely wool)
