Franklin is a wonderful teacher. he is calm, well researched, adn presents the info in a light manner. His history of lace class rocks with exquisite historic samples that he passes around and you get to feel, see up close, and photo. Lovely person too.

What a fun, cute, funny interview ! I think I've reached the crotchety age, too! I warned people when I was young that I was going to get that way !

I love this interview! It somewhat takes the sting out of not getting to take his class at the 2020 Maryland Sheep and Wool.Somewhat. And I am absolutely the student who wasn’t particular about the subject of the class. Can’t even remember what I signed up for! Looking forward to receiving my own Dolores kit soon. Certainly she’ll have some fantastic tidbits for me. 😍

Franklin! I've tried to take your pet sweater class 3 times and it's either been cancelled or sold out each time! I want to knit sweaters for the dogs I take care of at an animal rescue in Chicago. Love you!

I just discovered Franklin earlier this year and love him already. This came up because I was looking for more about him and you delivered nicely. Thank you. Normally I wouldn't comment on such an old video but just watch and like it - which of course I did and then I subscribed because of the way you spoke about variety in projects. However, you left me with an unanswered question - is there a pattern for the cardigan you're wearing? Should I hunt on Ravelry? (I already searched your IG feed back a couple of years and had no luck.) Help please?

As I told my kids, I can drive any tractor on the farm but choose not to. My dad helped me with my knitting when I was young because he DID learn in the Army Corp of Engineers. I also taught several members of our high school football team when they were at my house. My grandson is learning now at 6.

Pitbulls were known as nanny dogs for a reason, I love them. I want to check out the dog sweater class, I have a Boston terrier that doesn't fit a lot of store bought sweaters and can't handle things going over her head as she's lost her vision (14 y/o).

I think it’s called the rhinebeck cardigan. It’s by loopy mango and I didn’t use their yarn and they sell it as a kit- yarn & pattern so I haven’t done an FO video about it because I didn’t want to disappoint people. But there is a similar pattern on rav that is stand alone... lmk if you want to know what it is I can go find it.

Most everyone in my world knows I knit but when they ask what I want to do when I retire I say, “Open a yarn shop.” And invariably they say, “A what?” “Yarn.... you know, what I knit with?” “Oh really....” They never believe me or think it’s a viable option.

I recognized the part about wanting to be in Franklin's class just because Franklin taught it. I travelled nine timezones some years ago - just for that reason. It was worth every cent I spent on that trip. (Alaska was nice too)
