A back up to the wiggling travel brushes. My husband gave me some gaffers tape. It’s a fabric tape that you tape down cords and wire needed when a group or symphony orchestra get set to play. It keep cords down and connections from failing is the middle of a show. I wrapped a piece on the brush and slip the grip on. It actually seemed to work. I will tell you even though it’s only 1/2” wide it’s sort of ugly but I worked on a whole page of roses and had no problem.

I’m super excited about a tiny dagger!!!!! I so don’t need these. But I want to paint with them. Am I indulging myself? Oh yes I am. But I am using some freedom making cheap paper to alleviate my fear. “It’s just paper” is easier to handle when one sheet is less than $4.00. (Yes I am exaggerating)

Hi Kristy - I'm on team replay - and want to say that I am so enjoying getting "looser"! I tend toward realism and wanted to take some classes to loosen up my style and expose me to other ways of thinking... about painting and about watercolor. I wanted to let you know that I found the paper from 5 below. Thanks for the tip! I watch all your shorts! I have done some amazing things with that paper. Since its so cheap I experiment without fear of wasting paper. I bought the black fine liners there too (not waterproof) but I put watercolors on them anyway and the effect was amazing. Think rub on tattoos! Just ordered your new brushes and my second palette.

Hey Kristy! Kim here at team replay. I got the brushes maybe three days ago-ish? I am newly returning to watercolor. Never great, just a high school learner and I am now 70! That is to say I might not be your best review., But I do love the brushes for all of the reasons that you are going over (Spring back, control, etc.) I am also extremely appreciative of watching how you hold and control the different brushes on this video. I use your pouch for my brushes, of course. But also my pencils and tracing markers. Eraser. And, of course, sharpener. I took it to the park this weekend to paint. Everything I needed was right there handy.

Travel Brushes: It’s normal. I have Escoda Reserva and what I do is pinch the metal cap in at the opening… then stick it on the brush and turn it and that locks it on. I need a good #6 mine is worn out 😉

Ordered! With th travel brush, maybe after 20-30 minutes the metal gets warm from your hand and expands a little so gets looser.

I had to laugh... Great minds think alike the Kris duo!!! 😂 As soon as I saw what you keep in your bag... After comparing your arsenal... I got the same items!!! My leaf tool, the paper clips... The only thing I also keep in there, that's different is my brush rest... I just got the cheapo plastic five brush rest.

For travel brushes, I like the ones that you screw on because they stay attached really easily. I have had one fall off into my paint water so I think it’s pretty common.

My favorite paints for beginners are for sure the Mei Liang pretty excellent set in the teal blue tin and kristy palette for me these are the only 2 palette you will really ever need!! Love them! I started will Mei Liang and a few years later added Kristy palette granted I find joy in mixing colors. If you want to learn mixing later just save yourself the stress of buying super cheap crappy palette and go straight for kristy's palette especially if you follow her paint with mes on KZbin you won't regret one single penny!! Whole the phone my sweet 14 year old just told me he came to check on me like I do to him...being a boy mom is awesome!! Happy painting

Team replay! I ordered your brushes when I got your email, I'm so excited! 🥳 I did try to search for the set and had a hard time finding them (on my phone). I noticed in the description that the first thing it says is that they are travel brushes. This is just my opinion, but I'm afraid some people may just skip looking at your set thinking they are specifically for traveling, and I don't want you to miss out on any sales. Just something to think about. I sincerely hope you don't mind me mentioning this, and I hope it may help you. 💕

Awe I missed the travel brush discussion... I hate the Neptune travel brushes, because the squirrel hair gets too waterlogged and the bristles don't hold their shape, so I'm constantly reshaping my brush throughout my piece, that it takes away from the joy. However, I only have the #6 round.

Team Replay: I was ready to go with the live, then I had to go out of town. I love each of the new brushes, as I was testing them out on my academy cold pressed paper. But I need to go back with your strokes, for more order, cause when I was finished with my own strokes, it had no composition. I feel like I get a more "proper" composition when I follow along with you. The only brush I'm having issues with is your BFF. I felt like I don't have control with it, cause it wants to twist on me.
