Well, this was a blast and a half to write. I also loved to get a bit more personal with Kroq, having the freedom in telling the story of his first encounter with Grymoloq in more details. To me, Kroq'Gar is the truest embodiment of Lizardmen badassery. Yes, it's cool and all to crush a city in the palm of your hand, Mazdamundi, but tearing apart your enemies close and personal while riding an immortal machine of death, has an entirely different flavor. Glory to the Lizardmen Rambo! For Xhotl!

Darn it, this makes me wanna try Kroq-Gar campaign again. It's one of the most frustrating ones I've attempted so far with the high upkeep and few available allies, but this video gives me that itch to go again. Cheers, another job well done.

Skink spam with feral bastiladons will work. The early terror and decent armor piercing will do work, they will absolutely wreck early skaven. Or just cheese the AI with a vortex caster.

Unfortunately the Saurus stats in WH 2 don´t really do them justice, they are hard to tell apart from a regular human foot soldier apart from weapon strength. On the other hand, they would have been overpowered otherwise, in the lore they are overpowered one on one.

I was referring to a single Saurus warrior in the lore, as the video states, even without weapons they are far more formidable than what most other races can muster., a single bite and you are a gonner.

Most lore is overpowered it just depends on what army book you pick up as they are alwyas made out to be these over the top great with their own power and weaknesses.

I really hope that Kroq-Gar and Grymloq get buffed sometime in WH3. On release they were absolute worldbeaters, but they (and carnosaurs in general) have been nerfed back and just superceded by new stuff that quite frankly he doesn't live up to his reputation as one of the greatest warriors in the setting and I fear he won't hold a candle to the daemons he's canonically supposed to be an expert against in game three.

That's the hope, but knowing CA and their atrocious balancing, they will probably buff the Daemons up so much they will just wipe the floor with everyone except for the new factions, just like it happened with Warhammer 2.

yes he is not a destroyer of hordes. Gor rok and nakai are much better there. But he is the best duelist, at least when you also factor in the speed of his carnosaur. However, while he is the best of the lizardboys here, he is significantly weaker compared to other duelists of other races. So I hope he gets some love too. but rather via the skill tree, because it works in multiplayer.

One of the main reasons I enjoy kroq gar is simply because of grimloq. If I were a lizardmen I'd probably be a Saurus of some sort simply so I could have a carnosaur mount.

The year was either 2002 or 2003 and Kroq-Gar on Grymloq was one of the first Lizardmen models that I saw. It was that model and the Sarus and the Skinks that made we want to collect Lizardmen as my first Warhammer army (really I went on to collect Tyranids as my first).

Lizzard men are amazing espically kroq gar i wish we had more story on them on how they would interact with other races because it would be cool per say if dwarfs were fighting near the jungles and down on their last moments then all you hear is thunderous foot steps and an a whole army of dinosaurs burst out with viscous rage and start carving a path through the enemy lines as the dwarfs rally behind them forming an alliance to help battle the forces of chaos together

Skinks do age. for instance, a skink priest of celestial magic of the city of the moon (and I forgot the name of both the skink and the city) is too old to walk so he's been given a Slaan's palanquin. Slaans & Saurus don't grow old, however, and Saurus are even supposed to get hardened scales as time goes by.
