Nah, as someone who works in IT and who's removed Krotten from a physical machine, It is possible to fully reverse the damage, but it's a pain in the ass.

It does not affect third-party programs you installed or anything. Your personal files are not affected. This malware has the following symptoms: -Registry editor disabled -Task Manager disabled (use Process Explorer instead) -Run command disabled -Clock not displaying time and it doesn't allow you to change it -Control Panel disabled -Desktop disabled (if you created a band floating toolbar that was done by dragging a folder on the edge, that isn't affected) -Start Menu empty out -Cannot close Windows Explorer and Internet Explorer -Internet Option disabled (you can still access it, via HTML Help, or somewhere on Windows Media Player settings) -Jump to URL is disabled on HTML Help -Internet Explorer customization toolbar command is disabled, for IE 6 and earlier, if you customized the command toolbars, it will be restored to its respective default position and button (as for Windows Explorer, Windows XP, Windows 2000, 98, doesn't matter, the Windows Explorer command toolbar also restored on its default on its respective version, like default, if you did customize it that is), for IE 7+ the customization stays in place, but it's just disabled to customize it. -Cannot access C: drive or any drive (not even via Internet Explorer 6 and earlier), instead, use any third-party browser like Firefox, Chrome, Tor whatever non-microsoft browser and type C: and you should be able to access your drive. If you're using Windows 7, is a little less severe, I experienced it with Windows XP, 2000, 98.

Found a way to remove it ! Reset DefaultUser restrictions and create a new user. EDIT : And theres an reg key that disable control panel

Я после этой версии сделаю версию для windows xp, Версия для ИксП вообще поменяет autoexec.bat на случай чинки, ну ещё вирус удаляет главный файл загрузки boot.ini Ну короче ты сам увидишь, вирус скину в яндекс диске.
