I think Rahu's obsession for recognition and status is because of its aspect to the 10th house from this position. Also, with its placement in the 2nd it will influence the native to want to speak well, accumulate and hoard all that supports the self, and associate with prestigious lineage. Hiiii, so I have this placement and I've done astrology readings for people (I'm not trying to be a professional astrologer or anything but people ask me to do them). I was quite surprised by how accurate people find my readings. I don't do predictive astrology though, I just read natal charts and usually rely heavily on intuition. I have an eight house sun and scorpio rising with mercury in cancer so this might help. My jupiter is in Libra but it is squared by mercury. I am aware that my mind is very big picture orientated and I'm bad with details. I do worry sometimes about the way I learn- it is very random, I seem to assimilate knowledge haphazardly. However for some reason I am often correct about things- I might just say something off the cuff and when I check it later it will be right or very close right. This thing about being a liar- I am confused by this because surely Ketu in the eighth means you have a spiritual quest for the truth? I sometimes lie but not intentionally exactly... its more like I'm not sure about something so I make up an opinion or a story or omit information depending on the situation, usually to satisfy the demands of the person who I'm talking with. It seems to me most people are looking to have their world view confirmed; I have strong opinions which seem to rub people the wrong way alot so sometimes I'll just tone it down or let things slide. The people I trust I challenge with the truth. People I don't trust to handle the truth I allow to go on living in their fantasy unless there is something important at stake. For example I can't just let someone lie about something to further their racist/homophobic/generally prejudicial hateful view. If they do I call them out. Occasionally when getting to know someone I'll give them false opinions- or play the devil's advocate- simply to see how they react and whether they have the strength to disagree with me. My rahu is in Saggitarius. Not sure about the money thing but I definitely feel the need to financial sustain myself and have enough to help others do the same.

I was wondering what would be the effect of having Rahu, Venus and Mars in the 2nd house in Aquarius. I've been trying to figure that out, but it is a little contradicting since venus seems to be a positive sign, but I don't think mars is b/c it makes things a little more challenging.

I have this house in my chart this is true but not true rahu in the second house peeps do lie but its about what kind of things they do lie about they do lie to make there self feel good kind of like to impress someone or lets say if some one had call there cell phone and that person is not that important to them and they do not feel like answering there calls they will lie and say things like no i did not get that phone call and they can be liers in relationships depending on what it is its mostly not to hurt your feelings so yea they do lie about things that you will not think they are going to lie minor things they do lie about how ever we are very honest peeps if you do look at ketu in the second house you are going to see that ketu in the second house are honest peeps.

Yeah this one was the complete opposite of me. Like every example was vice versa. The themes are their but it plays out in the opposite way. For instance I want to accumulate stability and like the finer things but I just want enough that I can live comfortably and detest when others want things just cause it’s a name brand. Also, I love researching astrology but I’m always so apprehensive in communicating my learnings when it comes to predictions because I don’t want to share misinformation and I rather study more cause I never feel I know enough even when people say I know a lot. even when I do share I make 50 million disclosures on why you should take what I say with a grain of salt. Then again I have Rahu in Scorpio in 2nd and Ketu conjunct Taurus in 8th.

People need to understand that he said that "If someone had benefic planet then it may change or suppress". And also you have to see which Planets are seeing on 2nd house. all this things do matter a lot.
