Ketu (Sanskrit: केतु, IAST: Ketú) ( ) is the descending lunar node. 'Ketu' is said to be the body of Rahu, after the head of the asura was cut off by God Vishnu. In Hindu mythology, Ketu is generally referred to as a "shadow" planet. It is believed to have a tremendous impact on human lives and also the whole creation. In some special circumstances it helps someone achieve the zenith of fame. Ketu is often depicted with a gem or star on his head signifying a mystery light.
Astronomically, Ketu and Rahu denote the points of intersection of the paths of the Sun and the Moon as they move on the celestial sphere. Therefore, Rahu and Ketu are respectively called the north and the south lunar nodes. The fact that eclipses occur when the Sun and the Moon are at one of these points gives rise to the myth of the swallowing of the Sun and the Moon by the demon snake.

Someone I know had this placement; and in his own mind and with his bizarre 'intuition' decided to attack me. Intuition is not mental illness...and vice versa. IMO, these are generally dangerous, hidden.. dark and malevolent tendencies. I'm sorry but that's the truth. When you see this in a chart, it's generally other stuff going on..and you have to look at & consider the whole chart in it's entirety and it's complexity. There's a lot else going on, usually. I was blessed with a hellish mother....but truly I did my best to forgive and keep giving her chances..Every contact I have with her..leads to some horrific trauma due to another round of betrayal...But now hearing this..I wonder if I should send her a mother's day gift... I have it in the 12th house. I suffered alot due to the inability to hold a thought for an extended period of time. Had been cheated by others because of that. The conjunction, somehow, attracts predatory individuals. Mind tends to wonder and often feels like a blank piece of paper. No schizophrenia though, and I don't see strange things either. Any thoughts on a Moon-Jupiter conjunction within 5 degrees also Ketu within 18 degrees of Moon all in Aries 8th house with an exact degree aspect from Saturn 5/6th lord from Cancer.
