Recently got into one of the top B schools in India, realised it's way too expensive and I'm getting very dismal ROI, was learning better at home, withdrew and came back to home to study. Dharma (of all 1,5, 9 houses) is created through a Sankalpa (5th house - Houses of Sankalpa) - The least Sankalpa and creation a man performs is reproducing a child...and corresponding Dharma is "Bringing them up by providing them a joyfilled, loving environment (5th house), culture/Samskara (9th house -that ends with death - Antya of Samskara) while developing his own personality as a parent (1st house) ... So, as per Sanathana Dharma it becomes the responsibility of the parents to take care of their own creations and nurture them but this is mostly discarded as an old belief system in today's society that is driven by quick gratification businesses where the children are created as per their whims and fancies and their childhood is sacrificed to protect one's ego... It's given me a variation of what you mentioned with a lifelong spiritual seeker spirit that found my path away from my native culture and faith.
