I get your sentiment about children not caring for their parents which was captured by the movie Baghban. However, I’m witnessing higher cases of parents not wanting to be with their children or grandchildren. Even when they are around for whatever short time, they are not at all engaged or concerned. They would rather watch tv or be on phone than tell grandkids a story or spend any amount of time with them. The generation of parents born in 50s and 60s are showing strange levels of indifference towards their children and grandchildren. They are not going to leave any good memories for them or a legacy for them to cherish. What sort of karma are they accumulating?

When you marry the right person, it is better than living your life alone. A loving partner can respect if their partner likes to have alone time. Then you can also have the upside of someone being there for you. When you age and your health goes, it helps to share the load with someone. To have an advocate if you're in the hospital, or recovering from surgery. Many other things. Perhaps, you could depend on a friend to go through life with you, but there is no commitment for them to be there. I know there is divorce, but if 2 loving people can make a commitment to each other, I think it's better than living alone forever. Just my opinion.

I learned the hard way that marriage isn’t for me. It was liberating once I accepted this. But most people don’t understand it. I feel much better being alone than surrounded by the wrong people. I didn’t know I would feel this way because I allowed other people’s fear of loneliness influence me. Glad I accepted that my joy isn’t dependent on others.

Yes, I have Kemdrum yog in my chart and I LOVE being alone. Solitude is like sweet medicine for the soul of me. Being around people too much or being in large groups is like a nightmare. I can do it when I need to but I prefer to be alone. In that sacred space, I can deepen my connection to The Divine in peace without anybody disturbing me.

So true about people chasing numbers and not actual love. I have always been a hopeless romantic and it’s hard being one in this society. Your closing remarks are profound and something I've seen in my own life. A good friend met an astrologer who became so good at astrology that he could figure out almost everything about the jataka's mind and life. His conscience did not allow him to continue doing astrology as he felt it was too intrusive, and hence gave it up altogether. And he also shared something brilliant about pariharams (remedies) - the only true pariharam is when the problem/affliction is burnt down in the flames of the chidagni (fire of consciousness).

Let's say you were so blinded by lust in your past life that you became insensitive to those who cared for you. In this life, your mind will again be driven by lust, but this time your karma will not allow love to enter your life because you abused loved ones in your past life. Your karma will change only when you resolve to work for a higher purpose in life. A higher purpose is anything that does not have you at the centre, because the moment the "I" dissolves, your karma will give you a break. Karma stops propagating when you become selfless. Not the same thing. Kapiel is referring to a situation where kids leave their parents in nursing homes without caring about them at all and leaving them entirely on the nursing home staff. I live alone in a fairly big home & absolutely love it. I hardly socialize. I am deep into the occult, helping clients all over the world heal from the deepest, darkest things in life. I have Kemdrum yog😭 and sad thing is 3rd house purva ashadha Moon is my Atmakaraka. I thought I liked being alone but few days ago I went to meet my friend in his hostel who was leaving for his hometown permanently and I really liked people my age sitting together and happily enjoying just through interaction. The happiness I felt is unmatched. That was a joy life rarely gives me I also have jupiter venus ketu in 12th house 😟

I am one of this people. I am almost leaving my bathroom door open. I get anxiety in an open field. I could fall asleep inside an elevator, but I hate to be in the middle of nature etc. My father is opposite. My mum has kendrum Dasa virgo moon while mercury is retrograde. I lived in a retirement home with my mom for 10 years. I had my own business cleaning apartments for seniors since I was in HS. I'm 30 now turning 31 in September. Still no marriage. Children in India are not abandoning their parents. There are economic compulsions to live in different cities usually the big ones which offer jobs whereas parents have their life settled in their own cities. It's not westernisation It's capitalism. Parents themselves do not prefer to shift from their settled lives to two bhk apartments that there children can afford. Moreover the parents themselves feel worst in cities where they have nothing to do while there children are at office. Women taking up jobs outside house is also problematic for majority patriarchal mindset. Because no matter what job the in laws n worst sometimes even the husband's ego is not satisfied if the daughter in law keeps a maid for household chores n not do everything with her own hands🤡 It's the toxicity that's being left behind. Distance keeps the heart fonder. Moreover in human birth unless a person realises themselves to be SatChitAnand they're always feel lonely.
