For anyone needing a cost comparison pop over to the main group “Hyperion epoxy free tumblers and crafts” where you will find we have broken it down step by step. It works out about $1.50 more per cup to use HP. Saying that, the amount of time HP saves is invaluable ❤️
@michellehansen15432 жыл бұрын
I calculated Hyperion at $2.89 more per cup …. Hyperion 11 coats at the suggested 7.5ml = 82.5ml and Crystalac used 17 coats at the recommended 2.5ml or less (would be less for those little cups) = 42.5 - which is 40 ml less - wow …. Hyperion 2.5 liter (2500 ml) is $135.00 (.054 per ml) and Crystalac Brite Tone 1 gallon (3785.14 ml) is $138.50 (.037 per ml) ….. cups cost Hyperion $4.46 / Crystalac $1.57 wow!
@Hyperion_uk2 жыл бұрын
@@michellehansen1543 yes we saw that michelle and we appreciate your input 😊 but as I said your basing it on a basic cup. Hyperion is a choice and an option you aren’t forced to use it ❤️ Some people would much prefer a lot more free time that $2/$3 dollars. This video has been done by shafeeqah to inform people then they can make their own minds up whether to use or not it. I think you could also do that base on the info you have ❤️

@@Hyperion_uk I understand that - it is still a good comparison. I have watched multiple comparisons and they never calculate out the price difference - I was all hyped up until I calculated the cost out … it is always going to be a significant dollar difference due to the 7.5ml - 10ml Hyperion vs 2.5ml - 1.0ml Crystalac

Time is money for me…i love BT but the 2-3 weeks turn around time was just slowing me down too much. HP is more costly but the glass like finish is worth it to me and the dry times are amazing! I think if BT dried faster, I’d stick with it…but both are great products! Do what works best for you ❤

Always put in care card that ur cups are not to be placed in the dishwasher. This video is so that, if ever ur customer place it in the dishwasher, u know it won’t be destroyed. But to answer your question.. HP takes 10 days to cure. 😊but u can wash normally even in between sanding

I wondered why no one compares cost of the two until I did - because with Hyperion 11 coats at the suggested 7.5ml = 82.5ml and Crystalac recommended 2.5ml or less (would be less for those little cups) = 42.5 - which is 40 ml less - wow …. Hyperion 2.5 liter (2500 ml) is $135.00 (.054 per ml) and Crystalac Brite Tone 1 gallon (3785.14 ml) is $138.50 (.037 per ml) ….. cups cost Hyperion $4.46 / Crystalac $1.57 wow!
@Hyperion_uk2 жыл бұрын
I think by your calculations you would be using the same amount of product per cup. You don’t. The video shows you that alone. It’s almost double the amount of BT to HP If you want to be fair on your calculations as the video has been. You need to take that into consideration 😊 We’ve worked it out and it’s visible in the main group that it’s $1.50 extra per cup for HP. Take away all the time you save,which is days, the comparison becomes obsolete. If we added how many minutes/hours the extra coats take and the extra time you wait using BT you would find the BT is a whole lot more expensive 😊 food for thought ❤️
@michellehansen15432 жыл бұрын
@@Hyperion_uk no, it is more coats 17 vs 11 but the coats used for Hyperion use a lot more product - the video said they used 11 coats with Hyperion at 7.5 ml per coat would be 82.5ml -- the video also shows 17 coats with Crystalac at 2.5ml per coat that is 42.5ml -- which is 40ml less than used on the Hyperion … I calculated correctly
@Hyperion_uk2 жыл бұрын
@@michellehansen1543 even taking this cup and your calculations into account this is a basic cup. You go to a more in-depth cup and your talking a huge different in coats. Even just chunky glitter instead of fine makes a huge difference. The difference in prices becomes even less in those circumstance. Also like I pointed out you can’t buy time and that what this saves. 😊

I’m not sure if I’m answering your question right, but.. Hyperion $135 for 2.5 UK Litres, Crystalac $138.50 for 1 US Gallon. In the Hyperion official facebook group, they did an approximate breakdown costing. It’s around $1.50 per cup.

I'm still using my Crystalac BT and once I get done with that, I think I'm going to give Hyperion a try! I'm super excited for the faster times ( 30 Minutes & the 2 HRS recoat). The one question I have about it is, how much of the product do you use? I've seen a video where you use between 7-10 ML of product. With Crystalac, you just put it on in thin coats without taking account of an amount of product, just thin coats. Also, Do you know the font that you used?
@Kruftisg2 жыл бұрын
Yes, 7.5ml is recommended. Because I think if u use too little, you get streakiness (because it’s fast drying product), and if u use too much you get pooling. If I’m being honest Ive only gotten pooling once (will be showing in the upcoming video!). But both is easily rectified. 😊 and…. can’t remember the font I used… 😩

@@Kruftisg that’s my issue with HP the pooling, and the gritty feeling
@Kruftisg2 жыл бұрын
@@MsHoneyLove0 oh, tbh I’ve nvr gotten gritty feeling before, but I believe, the gritty feeling is due to the dried HP that’s got into the tumbler while Ure brushing it on. Only experienced pooling once. Make sure there’s no fan and don’t put too much product. 😊❤️
