Our first full day in the Kruger Park started off with a 6am game drive around Letaba. We headed back to camp, packed the car, hooked up the trailer and before getting on the road to Tamboti, had to stop off at the Letaba Elephant Hall which is a must see. After exploring the Letaba Rest Camp, it was time to start the almost 140km journey to Tamboti Tented Camp.
We stopped off at Olifants lookout and Olifants Bridge to stretch our legs. Just as Murphy would have it, with only 10mins to spare on the last stretch of road, we came across some lions and a leopard sleeping in a tree. Luckily, we made it to Tamboti Tented Camp just in time and enjoyed our first night with the various local camp residents.
We cannot wait to take you along the rest of our journey through the Kruger Park. Hit that subscribe button and that notifications bell to keep up with our 12-day Kruger Self Drive Trip.

Great start. Love SA. We've been 3x now from England, and also to Tanzania, Botswana, Zimbabwe, The Gambia and Cape Verde (twice). Always wildlife watching although birding's my main thing. On our first night safari at Sabi Sands we got Pangolin! My most wanted mammal is Honey Badger, always just missed it, and for birds Pel's Fishing Owl and Pennant-winged Nightjar. Hoping to get back this year.

Tanzania, Botswana, Zimbabwe are definitely on our bucket list and one we hope to go in the near future, looks magical😊 I think the no.1 animal on our bucket list has to be the pangolin. You have no idea how lucky you are to have seen one, very envious. On your next visit to KNP, book a night at Tamboti or Letaba, you gauranteed a honey badger sighting😉 We hope you follow along with the rest of our KNP trip👌
