For those who think Krul is OP...he's not. All of you guys whining about how he's indestructible in 1v1 - you apparently don't know what Krul's strengths are. HE'S MEANT TO BE A BEAST IN 1V1. You're not supposed to go for him one-on-one. Also, he can easily be kited, since most range heroes have a greater movement speed compared to him. His Dead Man's Rush will only get him so far when trying to chase Ringo or Petal. A CP SAW's Suppressing Fire will rip his health barrier apart. Burst damage will also tear him apart, since he won't have enough time to stack spectral smite. He's extremely vulnerable to ganks, too. All in all, those of you whining about Krul are probably at Ask Again Later (ELO Hell).

For those of you who think Krul is OP, there's a way to counter krul. First, krul is a VERY weak early game character. Any early game fight vs. Krul will most likely go in your favor. Second, if your a ranged character, Krul is a easy hero to kite around with. He dosent have any abilities to stick to his target bc/ dead man rush. But even that only hits you once. 3rd, stunning krul and using atlas pauldron weakens krul by a huge amount. But now with the famous BP Shiversteel made by Oracle, krul players are real annoying. Props to Oracle for making a strong krul build. Let's all admit, that build is OP AF. There are still some counters, but oracle made a strong build. Kiting krul and attempting to burst him before krul does anything is much harder with his effective build. Shiver slows, and all the tank stuff is just op. Breaking point allows krul to deal huge damage and gain a huge amount of health. Not saying Krul is op or anything... But this new build w/ Krul is OP. Try it!

Invading Krul is easy, so if you can invade krul enough you have a lot of farm for yourself and the enemy krul will have no gold to buy items to deal damage or tank a few hits. To those of you who are frustrated with Krul, get Aegis. Honestly, I don't understand why no one does that. Krul is dangerous because of his abilities which greatly help him, so why not block them off? Aegis can weaken his spectral smite on you and, if you time it right, you can even avoid getting stunned by From Hell's Heart by activating it. It always works out for me. If you're Taka, though, you won't need Aegis. Here's why. Krul players usually wait to gain full stacks on the opponent before using spectral smite, which is a good idea but that's exactly why you can avoid it with Taka every time. What you have to do is just keep fighting him (obviously, you should go weapon power) and keep an eye on the stacks he has on you. Before he gets his final stack, use your second ability (sorry I forgot what it's called). This won't let him life steal and finish you off too. Don't run away while you're in you're box. Stay near him but be careful not to hit him. The box lasts long enough for the stacks to disappear. When the stacks are gone, finish him off with X-Retsu, Kaiten, and a few basic attacks if he isn't dead yet. I do this every time I encounter a Krul in a 1v1 (I'm usually always Taka) and always win. Either you can do that, or you could just use Kaiten and flip over him so his spectral smite wont do anything, but this is nearly impossible. You have to time it very precisely. Spectral smite takes less than a second to execute so this almost never works but you still try doing it. Hope this helped.

I am going to adress all the comments on how to counter him: 1: When the enemy are invading your jungle, invade theirs.Just make sure to place scout traps near where you're farming. 2:When the enemy build armour get bonesaw; they effectively just gave you another advantage 3: always get a reflex block to stop the atlas pauldron 4: Get a shiversteel for snipers like vox,skye and kestrel 5: After getting your farm go onto the lane brush wait for three seconds and gang the enemy laner 9/10 you would get them.

PixLisateur Well you are completely and utterly wrong. Just because you've had bad experiences against hi,, it fopehsnt make him OP, it just means you or your teammates aren't that good. I've beaten Krul a number of times. You just have to be aggressive early-game (especially if you have a Koshka. She's the death of him), and invade his jungle lot, to stop him from farming effectively and becoming super-strong until later on on the late-game.

Try not to waste your abilities on him when his health barrier is up, unless you're in a 3v1. Atlas Armor helps slow down his stacking, and having a good stunner on your team manages Krul as well. If you're going to use an Ult that requires some charging, get reflex block or something to protect you from his sword-stun. Don't try to 1v1 him. He will either kill you or his teammate will help gank (kill) you. (Deep breath) sorry for the long post. xD

Vainglory team, I hope you do something with the complaints here about Krul. He is just too strong. His first ability needs to be nerfed, especially the cooling down time. It's ridiculous, he destroys the balance of the game. And I can say the same thing about Koshka and Skaarf, they have a ridiculous burst damage from the begin till the end of the game and if they become tanky, they also become hard to kill. Skaarf's fire seems to neglect any shield and it keeps doing big damage. Either nerf these 3 characters or adjust other heroes to balance the game more. And also with version 1.4 Ardan has been highly nerfed, since the health items became expensive and give less health and his superpunch doesn't have additional WP anymore.

Krul, AKA the worst team player, AKA Taka and Glaive's favourite past time, AKA the most overused hack in the game. That said, he isn't THAT bad. It's just that Krul players have a habit of playing him like Glaive, as in, the worst way to play him. Particularly new plebs who only play him because they saw the awesome gameplay videos of him doing amazingly by himself when in reality most of the time you need a partner fighter to take centre stage when things go bad for him. His niche is one on one brawling, so naturally you should play him like that. He's still a very good and fun character to play, but it's best you learn how to because his learning curves are a bit steeper than others. I should know.

The stupidest people here saying you must end him early game with the jungle partner, and also you should win early. 1: you go with your jungle companion, he has a jungle companion too. He keeps charging you and using smite when you run away. He dosnt even need crystal power anymore since his abilities are very strong alone and have a weak crystal ratio. He can be built with frostburn or shiversteel to catch down fleeing enemies. You can't disable him in jungle early game, and if you try, you die. 2: his early game is not as rediculous as his late game, but it still does guarantee his 1 vs 1 master style. Kiting can be seen as his worst enemy, but with the new buff for krul, he only needs to hit some few hits, using his ulti, and then use spectral smite. Not even with his spectral smite is full, it can still kill you no matter what....

I dont know y people say counter jungle can help. If the one playing krul is good enough, he definitely know where to jungle first and when to ask for teammates help. Counter jungle is like for advance player, but have higher risk if enemy do counter counter jungle. After playing him a few times, i think he is op if you build it right and do the jungle safely. He can take the miner early without losing much health. The only way to kill him is to use range unit to kill him from distance, cause all of his skill need a target to trigger. But it is super hard to kill him when u build the right armor and shield.

I totally agree with you, if you know how to play krul right and your enemys dont know how to counter him, its really easy to burst the whole enemy team, but when youre enemys know how to fight against krul, you get wrecked easily... Down in pretty good (or smth like that) its really easy for me to get a good score and win, but up in hottnes or even lower, i really need ro concentrate on game and not getting killed to often. If Krul is feeded, hes really strong, kill hin early game -> he cant farm gold to buy his items -> simply wreckin krul. (btw if there are faults in my text im sorry, im german)

KimThom Nguyen Since I'm a Krul main I know how to deal with reim. In a team fight, as krul, don't attack reim first, instead attack the other teamates. Always buy shiversteel and journey boots for Krul, if they have an atlas, get some distance between you and the enemy that has the atlas, the journey boots will help. If possible, throw your sword behind you and use your journey boots to get behind your enemy so that they will be stunned longer. If you have low health and you're being chased in lane, go to an enemy minion and smite him to get at least some health back. Help your teamates as much as you can. Never go into a 1v3. Once you have 8 stacks don't use the smite immediately, see if you can kill them without the smite or use it to heal up during fights. Ask your teamates to distract the enemy while you attack the kraken. To be safe, b4 you finish capturing the kraken throw your sword directly to the enemy brush to see if there is anybody there to steal your kraken. Try to take risks at Krul, but don't take a lot. Btw this is my best build = tornado trigger, Shiversteel, Journey Boots, Stormcrown and Aftershock ( all in order)

If you have not used Krul at all just shut up. As mentioned earlier on comments above, ganking and stealing Krul's jungle will weaken him in the late stage of the game. A duo of Catherine and Koshka will do the job just fine. I'm a Krul player.

Kill Krul early game as often as you can, so he cant farm his gold and you can keep him weak. If you play koshka its easy to steal his jungle, because of her Speed increase after using an ability, just kill one or even more of his jungle and head back to yours. Kill him early is easy with a duo of Ardan & Glaive/Koshka, Catherine & Koshka/Glaive, or just Joule (in this update Joule is really really strong) and Joule is the one hero which can easily kill a max Level and finished Build Krul. (Btw i enjoy playing Krul, and also counter Krul :D)

Can someone plz help me with Krul builds. Every time I use him in blitz my team ALWAYS loses, NO MATTER WHAT ITEMS I USE!!!!!! Seriously, I give him a crystal build, weapon build, armor build, mixed of all 3, but still ALWAYS lose to my enemies!!! No matter who they are!!!!!! And it doesn't matter if my allies are more skilled or not as skilled as the enemy team.

I just had a insane match so my team got a ace I was pushing then I noticed I was like 1 hit away from being dead.the glaive spawned i charged at him with deadmans Rush then use ult and the smite got half of my health back.then vox respawned rocked him and the it was gg got 28 kills 3 deaths and 7 assists

Krul is to op he always kills all the enemy team

Just to let everybody know, krul is really weak at lvl1 since he only has either his smite or the rush, and both of them are not helpful in the beginning so if krul is against you just start with a jungle invade, second, kruls weakness is fighting in a team fight since his abilities will only work against one enemy and he can easily be the first to die, third, when playing against krul AVOID FIGHTING HIM 1V1, also when he kills one of your team mates, JUST AVOID FIGHTING HIM ALONE, because he will regain his health and can have an extra health barrier, i once killed ringo with my krul then taka chased me and i was about to kill him but he used his kaku then i threw my sword and found him and killed him then catherine just stunned me but then i fought her and killed her easily and got an ace for my team, so basically when krul finishes a fight, he can just regain his full health so i recommend you guys to just have another team mate if u want to ambush him, also, kruls biggest weakness is when trolled by running away from him, since running away from him for more than 4 seconds will remove the stacks from spectral smite and make him in a serious trouble, krul is not op however he is really hard to deal with if you dont have burst damage

You can only beat him by using cp taka or cp celeste by your own skill i pro taka when i meet krul i always use skill number 3 then number 2 and when he idk where you are you can just easily use your skill number 1 to finish him but if he react quick you might died doing it

Overdrive is when you max a skill.
