Good.... however....one krithi of syama sastri would have raised the concert to greater heights....pardon me if i am critical....but 90% of artists play to the gallery....i feel young artists like this artists can present unheard krithis and thereby give aspiring students more interest in classical music....i am listening to music for 50 years now and I feel only 300 to 400 krithis are doing the arounds again and again....but the vast treasure is left un explored...to site one example...there is an exquisite krithi of syama sastri in kambodhi....why is it that only evari mata or o ranga sayi or sri subramanyaia or a couple of other krithis are choosen by almost all artists.....i would like to mention here a speach given by the great palakkad mani Iyer....where ilhe says that an artist should not play to the gallery always....it's his or her onus to give pure music to the audience and give them good music....!!!....let's explore the treasure of our music.....!!!!
