What do you mean by "dialect"? Are you saying Arvanitika is a dialect of Greek? Lol. Its actually a dialect of Albanian, which, through historic influence, has come to sound similar to Greek. Those Bulgarians in the north are a minority of Slavic speakers called (disparagingly) Vulgari. If the Greek sounds similar to Bulgarian-FYROM Slavic its because of the sprachbund effect, but nobody doubts that it would still be Greek nevertheless. This is an Albanian language though...

We may not agree as to when Arvanites came to Greece, or they were always there 🤔🤔.. But one thing is for sure they are pure Albanians. The language of the song is all Albanian, an old dialect of it that we all understand.. Greeks are united by the Orthodox Church, without it they are a bunch of people living together, mainly old Albanians(Arvanites), new Albanians(Alvani), Vlahs, Egyptians etc! There is absolutely nothing that connects today's "Greeks" with the ancients!
