I had the pleasure of talking to the lead singer Nolan and he does say that Priest really shaped the way Kryptos made their music. You can say it's one of his favourite bands. Really chill guy who you could definitely share a few beers with 🍻

Kryptos have their own style. Have you seen the pic with Bruce Dickinson wearing Kryptos T-shirt for a photo shoot of Flight 666? Also, this album won the Best Metal Album of the year. Sounding like your fav band is not the same as copying riff-to-riff of your fav band's songs.

But one question - does Nolan have the ability to do regular, melodic vocals as opposed to the partly guttural vocals that are featured on the first two albums akin to the proto-Death Metal vocals seen in early Kreator/Sodom; and the somewhat exaggerated, yet tune-less vocals which stress the words rather than focus on a tune, like the type that features in the latest album?
