Teen Titans vs Daddy Issues | *Justice League vs Teen Titans* | Movie Reaction/Commentary

WE ARE BACK with another movie in the New 52 universe :D Today we watch Justice League vs Teen Titans, but I think the title should have more to do with the daddy issues everyone faces other than the small encounter they had getting their ass BEAT by the Justice League LOL. This was an interesting movie though, was happy to see more of Raven's back story which I only knew bits and pieces of! Can't wait to watch the next one :D

In the Kingdom Come timeline, Nightwing and Starfire have a daughter named Nightstar aka Mari Grayson who married that worlds version of Damian. Some say it’s weird because Damian is technically her adopted uncle, others say otherwise because there’s no blood relation.

Blame the JL movies for that one, but to be fair, speedsters like the Flash and the Flash family hold back a lot when they fight so they won't kill the vilains or civilians, but when they get possesed (wich is kinda bullshit because it's INSANELLY hard to posess a flash due to the speed mind, even Deadman can't do it) or evil speedsters like Reverse Flash and others are SUPER dangerous, just look at all the things Deathstroke did when he managed to steal Barry's speed, or the red batman who stole Barry's speed and proceded to kill every single member of the justice league from his universe in like a second

He is no joke but not even he could posses Barry for more than an instant, not even that but he has turned this possession trick around and has trapped an entity not unlike Deadman who has the power of possessing and controlling people (they were fighting this thing together) around and actually trapped the entity inside of him while maintaining full controll and even managing to extract information from the creature when it tried to posses him

Yes. Great show. Although I am a big fan of the DCAU (batman, superman, justice league), teen titans is... well, not exactly better, it's difficult to top such masterpieces, but original and great by doing its own thing that is quite different., with an excellent balance of humor and story.

I ship Damian x Raven is because both birds in a feather had 4 things in common: - Both are distance from others but slowy gain trust - family issues where one is the Head of the Demon and the other is dimensional demon - Both are conceived to be used as tools for Ra's Al Ghul and Trigon's ambitions. - Robin and Raven are willing to risk their lives to save each other.

I enjoy this movie for the most part, but the one big thing holding it back for me is Taissa Farmiga as Raven. The voice fits really well, but the delivery is a bit too dry and overly angsty imo. She improves a lot in later films though (especially the last installment).

If you want to do a DC animated show that has great storylines and most of the characters in this movie then i'd highly suggest Young Justice! It was brought back on HBO Max due to popular damnad; after being dropped by Cartoon Network a decade previously because it didn't sell enough toys for their sponsors. Teen titans is an all time classic too though.

What Jaime did to that machine??? I actually saw something similar when I was in school once. Me and some friends skipped school to go to our local amusement park, where they had one of those machines that you punch a hanging bag and it measures the pounds per square inch of pressure you hit with; well, my buddy - who at the time was already a top tier taekwondo champion - and I were watch these huge beefy guys punching and being jock deuches. My buddy looked at me, smiled and said watch this: He went up into line and waited while all the huge dudes were making fun at how small he was; so my buddy takes a stance I'd seen before and spins on the spot and kicks the bag. Normally the bag swings itself upward and waits for the machine to calculate the speed and strength of the punch, but when my buddy kicked it, the bag flew up into the machine faster than it was supposed to and the whole thing fell back and slid about three feet after falling. The jock deuches weren't saying shit after that.

The only thing that really bugs me about this film is Damian Wayne. Damian in this continuity of direct to dvd dc films ranges from tolerable to insufferable, and the first half of this film he is the latter. Not to mention disrespectful, acts like he's better than everyone, and the film kind of takes his side on that rather than him getting humbled. With characters like him you're usually suppose to either hate them or put them through an arc where they becomes more likable. This series of films I think are trying to make Damian likable and I keep giving benefit of the doubt that they will but I have yet to see it (outside of Batman vs Ninja Turtles or Injustice), and in this film I was less rooting for him and more eger to see blue beatle blow his face off 🤷🏾‍♂. Sidnote: before people try to defend this character by brining up his backstory, just remember it explains why he is the way he is but it doesn't excuse it. Have a blessed one everyone.

A few recommendations to watch if you haven’t. Batman vs Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Batman Ninja (it’s an anime), and Superman/Shazam!: The Return of Black Adam (it’s a short film. The dvd/blu-Ray comes with 3 more shorts: Spectre, Jonah Hex, & Green Arrow)
