I have to write a gothic story for English homework is this okay? “Love.A beautiful thing. It can be many different things, it can be crazy,maybe abusive or even toxic… or it could be…perfect~ .That's what we have isn’t it?” I look over at my gorgeous wife with a smile. She doesn’t respond. I give her a kiss on the cheek before getting out of bed. “I’m going to get a drink, do you want anything my love?” Again, no response. I frown at her lack of interest, “giving me the silent treatment…” i sigh and leave the room. The lights flicker in the kitchen, I gaze at the sharp kitchen knife that lays in front of me on the counter. “Looks like I forgot to put this away.” I chuckle softly to myself. “It’s all dirty…” I throw it in the sink and open the fridge in search of a small bottle of red wine. I find it and pick it up with one hand. my thumb traces the uncorked mouth of the bottle, it’s opened, red liquid coats the rim of the glass. I pick up two glasses from the cabinet and place them on the counter, the thin red fluid flows from the bottle as I tilt it towards the glass. It’s flat, no bubbles, just still, unmoving, lifeless… I stare at the bottle as it pours, my consciousness separated from my body. The glass overflows coating the counter in red. Red. Nothing but red. Suddenly I jolt back to reality. I stare at the now red counter with a sadistic smile. The broken lights spark, before shutting off completely. Leaving me alone, in complete darkness. I pick up the glasses of wine. Leaving behind the mess. I trudge up the old creaky staircase with a deranged smile plastered across my face. I quietly hum ‘here comes the bride’.subconsciously replacing white with red. I open the large decaying door to our bedroom. My deranged smile grows wider as I spot my beautiful wife laying in our bed.The room was dark due to the lights shutting off, it was almost pitch black besides the small candle flickering besides my lovely bride.I walk over to her, not caring about the red wine that spilled out of the glass and onto the floor. A trail of red left behind as I walk to her. “Hello my love~ I know you didn’t say you wanted anything but I brought you a drink anyway.” I place the glass of wine between her soft pale fingers.my ear to ear smile turns into a frown when she doesn’t take it. The glass falls over,The red fluid spills all over her chest. The glass shattered as it rolled onto the cold hard carpet. The liquid spilled everywhere staining everything red. Everything was covered in red. Red? ‘Why are my hands red?’ I think to myself as I Bring my red stained hands up to my face. My vision flickers, my eyes blur. Behind my hands I see my love. Finally my eyes are able to put her image into focus. Her pale skin is covered in scratches, purple bruises along her limbs and rope tying her to the bed. Her lifeless eyes staring at me. Her face stitched up and falling apart. A large smile was forced on her face. The white wedding dress that covered her body was stained red. His bloodshot eyes widened. “Who… who did this my love?” He whispers, panic evident in his tone. The voices… he hears the voices once again. “No!” He shouts out. “Stop it! Shut up! Shut up!” He repeats over and over. His Sharp bony fingers grip his hair, he starts to Shake uncontrollably. Suddenly… the shaking stops. A small smile appears on his face. “Oh hello my love~” he says sweetly. “I’m getting quite thirsty. I’ll go get a drink. Is there anything you want?”
