Hello. At 9:00 , The permanent resident card was given to my spouse a year later after she entered the US and married me. But we already have reached our 3 Year marriage anniversary. I don't have information about my husband, only Marital Status, it only says how many times you have been married, that's it, and I have another question, I have a green card on 02.17.2019 I only worked until 2021 (HHA) and since then I am unemployed. @@habam1072 hi, under general provision I don’t think you have to provide divorce and marriage certificates. I don’t see it listed in form instructions but if you do it online it will tell you which evidence to submit

Hi Ksenyia, I will be applying for citizenship through the N400 form., I will be married for 3 years in March 2025. Should I wait to apply or can I apply now. Further, have you applied for citizenship through the N-400 application and if so what was the experience. Any advice you can give.

@@sunshineallen3851 it’s not enough to be married for 3 years. You also have to be a permanent resident for 3 years before being eligible to apply based on the 3-year rule. I applied in April and still no news other than biometrics.

Hi Kseniya, thank you for your helpful response, my apologies, I meant I will have 3 years of being a permanent resident in January 26th next year. I applied for the 1-175 form and received the extended paper, saying that my permanent resident has been extended for 48 months. Did you get a similar extension as well ? So right now, I wanted to know should I go ahead and apply for the N-400 or should i wait for the actual 3 years. Also would you recommend getting a lawyer or did you apply through N-400 on your own?

@@eachoneteachone35 They won't need your husband's proof of citizenship for you to do your citizenship test unless immigration suspects that you obtained your green card through a "fake marriage". My ex wife went to do her citizenship test and she told me that she passed and wasn't asked for a copy of my passport or citizenship. Now, if you guys are still marriage, then yes, is possible they may ask for it since you both are still marriage and "living together"
