@@cshines7359what bothers people is the fear mongering that goes on and the fact that people are judged by what they do for themselves or for their kids (you eat that?? You use that?! @@cshines7359 I’m not saying this video is, but I’m saying a lot of people fear monger and judge. Just do what you want and let others do what they want. Videos like this are fine, imo.

Pacifica actually had a justified price increase with the reformulation, because the volume doubled! They are 2 oz now instead of 1 oz, and so far it doesn’t seem to go “off” as fast. I’ll happily take the $4 price increase for more volume and better shelf life!

correct - im a holistic esthetician and its marketing terms! meaning its not universal regulated tests that all these products are going through to determine that it has "clean" ingredients. you can write whatever you want on a product these days lol. it drives me insane that people are under the impression that "clean" labeled perfumes have different ingredients than other designer brands....

As a fragrance chemist I agree.. it’s an advertising thing… the reality behind safer fragrances is majority synthetics due to it being made in a lab so lot more testing and it’s created by chemist, in addition to deforestation. IFRA tests religiously that’s why so many fragrance get discontinued due to “harmful” ingredients.

@@KerinexAfroTheoryinteresting! What do you recommend people with skin and hormonal sensitivities look for in fragrance? I know just because something says clean or green, doesn’t mean it’s gentle.
@KerinexAfroTheory3 ай бұрын
@@lovelylindsey so theres about 37+ commonly found "allergens" in perfumes.. but majority of those are naturally occurring in plants, flowers, woods, etc.. plants release their own "hormones" to protect themselves against environmental "enemies ". So we encounter toxins everywhere honestly. But I think Ellis Brooklyn does a pretty good job, I would say they are definitely "safer" . Another option is pure perfume oils ( attar) oils. Which are quite expensive but they are 100 % natural... there's also baby colognes which are made entirely different and much more gentler than regular perfume. Hope that helps

Love the '"Clean,... Clean!" claw fingers @4:55 . I think that says it all. Clean in the context of underwear means one thing. 'Clean' in the context of our speech, means another. And 'clean' in the context of fragrance is yet something else. It means minus the primary, most researched 'scaries'. It's awesome! But of differing interest & weight to us as individuals (same with speech & undies! 🤣). Please keep coming back to & including -clean- less toxic fragrances. Hi Ksenja it's true that our skin absorbs certain chemicals, hence medical skin patches and creams etc. So it stands to reason that one should be discerning. On that note, one can spray the sleeve of one's shirt for example instead of our skin. Just an idea. I notice my perfume tends to smell better on my clothes sometimes. 💕

I understand the appeal for wanting products that are safer for your skin, but the idea that your skin absorbs everything isn’t completely true! It’s the skin’s main job to keep things out! Things like medical patches and skincare products like retinol are formulated and go through trial and error to try and get them to go deeper into our skin. And most of time they still aren’t penetrating beyond a couple layers of skin cells. Studies that relate to skin absorption are mostly a) on animals and b) at quantities that we will never encounter. The FDA sets limits that keep in mind the daily exposure that you’d get from all of your daily products. Your perfumes are most likely pretty safe, but it can’t hurt to be careful regardless! What works for you might be different from what works for me
