@@markanthonypar-wise1499 I concur. Everyone tends to focus on the Beretta 92 lineup, but I personally love the PX4 and APX line so much more. With Beretta's special pricing, being able to buy most APX firearms for $300-350 before the great toilet paper shortage is probably one of the best deals you could get for a premium firearm. The optics ready and threaded barrel APX model is available for around $500 as well. Not many people can beat those prices with the same quality and feature Beretta provides.

Nice review KS. Every time I pick up my full size APX, it makes me smile. Great grip texture and shape. And that's coming from comparing it to my PPQ, CZ Sp01 and M&P 2.0. All great guns. I really feel like more people would buy the APX if they handled it. To me, the way it feels is half the battle.

Great informative video on the Beretta APX compact. I purchased the Centurion a few weeks ago and last week went to the shooting range, shot 150 rounds through it. Great handling no recoil felt when shooting. Also, to answer your question on rail lights, Olight Valkyrie PL-Mini 2, work very well on the APX Centurion as well on the Compact.

@@KSGunGuy01 I was hoping they would have released one by now. It was announced a few Shot Shows ago, I believe. I reached out to Apex to ask about the status of their support for the APX... They have no plans at this time to offer an Apex trigger for the APX line. An absolute shame. So many manufacturers are not supporting this firearm. I can only hope now that these pistols are available for mid-to-low $300s that manufacturers will see demand that is now worth their time to support.

Looks like another winner, always thought this was a cool looking pistol. I also like the trigger chassis design to help changing the grip color to OD green. :D Got an email from Beretta a couple weeks back showing this model and the new "Centurion" model. The mag release is GREAT it literally JUMPS out. The springs are stiff inside the mag which makes it a pain in the *** to load but I figure with more rounds the springs will loosen.

Picked one of these up and it is awesome. Build quality is outstanding. The complete break down is more complicated than the P320, but just takes some practice. I think its a great size, but the M&P M2.0 3.6 provides 2 more rounds for about the same size.

Competition firing pin spring on Beretta website lightens trigger pull to about 4.5 lbs on my full size APX. Really nice and not expensive, Beretta has a nice website you can get any parts you could possibly need there.

APX all the way! Been using my full length since it came out! I hit dead center with it over and over again. I couldnt do that with my others. What I also like about the APX is the beretta APX holster that they sent me. The holster can hold several of my other pistols like my VP9 and PPQ. This is a great firearm from Beretta. I honestly believe that nothing else has came out like this one (In its price range). Its the real deal, quality pistol. This is a FLATLINER!

This gun is .3 inches to thick and 3 to 5 ounces too heavy for my taste in conceal carry. I just saw it online with a "submit your email address for price quote" of $403.00 for the compact or the Centurion! I couldn't bring myself to buy it because it's too thick and heavy. Now that Beretta has the $100.00, it' could be a possibility. But I keep wondering if the next Shot Show will bring us guns that are made to compete with the Sig P365 and the Glock 48x , that would up the ante for the aforementioned manufacturers , and hopefully offer more for less money. If Beretta made the "APX Slim" , that would be a dandy. I could find more use for that than this chunky, little beast APX Compact. Your videos are always packed with all the pertinent information and right to the point. I greatly appreciate your perspective on pistols. Keep up the great work!

Although I somewhat agree with what you said about MAC's Gauntlet, the big thing I remember from that test that would apply to everyday use is that those serrations are mainly window dressing and don't help you when your hands are wet.

Love my full-size apx, I noticed I was hitting a little left with the medium grip so I switch to the full size. This last trip to the range I noticed I was hitting a bit right so I might switch back to the medium now that I'm a little better adjusted. Wouldn't mind picking up a compact but I might just hold out for the RDO version of the full size. Plus as far as "carry" sizes, I really have a soft spot for the PX4 compact carry

I bought the APX Centurion last week and LOVE it even though I have not shot it. So why? The price point is my 2nd reason my main reason is the inexpensive modularity of it. You can’t beat that.

Great assessment, currently waiting on mine to arrive at my FFL. Definately interesting to see if the internals can be swapped into the full size frames and vise versa. Going to try it When I get it and compare the 2, hopefully modularity is just like the p320.

I love that gun! I just checked it out yesterday at Beretta.com! I will buy the APX...que question is full or compact? Other thing is that it feels great in the hand, nice ergos. Also, it slides in a long slide channels. I shot one at my local range and new right away it was going to be part of my arsenal. You can buy (4) different colors...black, grey, green and blue’ish

Just a thought. Someday manufacturers who serialize the trigger works come out with more than just different colors for plastic frames. It would be very neat to see the same innards be easily moved from short to long grips/capacity, different grips designs, different trigger guard designs, different slides and perhaps different barrel lengths. Even selling sets that come with alternates which significantly change the pistols capabilities with the same serialized trigger assembly. And of course these alternates have to be much less than 80% of the cost of a whole new pistol or it makes no sense.

Seems like they updated The Recoil spring assembly for the compact. I wonder if they'll do the same for the full-size. I know Beretta claims it's working as intended for the full size, but that thing looks absolutely nasty. A clean dual spring system like this would be nice

Love this size for carry, usually never carry an extra mag so I like the extra capacity. Currently carry the XD Mod 2 9mm 13 RD’s as well but maybe a lil thinner than the APX. Good review.

09:59 Striker block. They could have made it so it wouldn't stick out like that, but allegedly this design will warn you if the striker block isn't moving back into 'block mode' freely, should it not retract when the trigger is released.

The best part is that the compact and centurion have the same slide length, so you will be able to swap the grip frames and essentially have both guns. You’ll just need the the 15rd magazines for the centurion or you could just buy the grip extensions.

Any time a new polymer wonder comes out I'm happy. The more the merrier!! I want a glock the size of the 43 that golds 10 rounds if glock wants to they could they just go to make the right size mag like the sig p365 did !!! Come on glock. I love the 43 size for carry. I don't know why everyone thinks the disassembly is so strange. If you've ever taken down a Beretta 92 it's pretty much the same thing. Push a pin/button from one side and rotate.

I don't understand why these aren't more popular and why there is almost no aftermarket support for them. If you buy one be happy with it stock because even finding a decent holster is a challenge.

Hearing prices of $450ish for the centurion version. Thanks a lot Beretta, just what I need in 2018 ...another great Pistol option. So far this year I bought an XD-E, P365, VP9SK and just got a PPQ SC. Pretty sure my wife going to flay me when I come home with this one

This dude looks really wide and the measurement proves it. Did someone from the Remington handgun division get the position of project director for this new model? Next question: was the public really clamoring for this SKU? With three P320’s I’m still convinced the firing mechanism removal is still more about thorough cleaning capability than customization. It did give me the ability to switch to an “S” sized frame for my compact; it finally arrived Thursday and makes all the difference (and you must change the slide stop along with the frame). Still, a maneuver like this is something I don’t see the average owner performing on a regular basis.

It’s a wide dog for sure Jake! As for the market, yes I think there is some room for this “tweener” size. For some, it’s more palatable since you can get basically a full grip while still being pretty small (though wide). Glad you got your frame! Yes, the cleaning ability is really nice though I agree, most won’t take it apart. Thank you as always and cheers!

When I first saw the APX full size, I thought it was ugly as sin. Then it started to groove on me. Then I saw the compact. I thought the grip/beavertail looked pretty awkward. Now I think it looks pretty cool lol. I kinda like the idea of the new slide and grip proportions, but because of the width and weight I'm a little hesitant to check one out.

The high standards I always expect from your tabletops continue. Yet I can see where you'll eventually need to change your channel name to "KSSuppressedGunGuy" (and maybe a second channel called "KSCoffeeGuy", a sort of Demo Ranch with you shooting things after too much java). lol. oh I screwed up, it was a glock 17 gen 5 with ameriglo sights....trigger was mushy and I did like the sights but I prefer the PPQ, VP9, XDM, and APX(have not shot one of them but want to). I have seen the Glock 19x no thanks prefer the other mentioned guns much better...YMMV

Yes the APX could have been narrower. And maybe come with a 3.4 or 3.5 in barrel
