Gentleman is a German reggae star, he loved reggae music since his childhood. To learn the Jamaican language he decided as teenager to live in Jamaica for couple years. Since the 90’s he is so respected in Jamaica and their reggae scene, he was the first white guy to play with the Marley’s family etc concerts in Jamaica.

The city is Hamburg, Germany's pearl in the north. Beginner are a famous and well established Hip Hop band from Hamburg. They started in 1991 (as Absolute Beginner) and they are just legends of the German hip hop scene. The tattoed guy is Gzuz, he's from Germany's younger Rap generation and also from Hamburg. The guy singing in Jamaican is Gentleman, who is a German Reggae musician, he's from Cologne. The older guy with glasses in the video the Rapper in sunglasses is standing next to is Germany's late footbal legend Uwe Seeler, who was from Hamburg as well.

Just for your information , Diggah is Hamburg harbour slang derived from dicker. If someone is your bestie then you are dicke Freunde. The Hamburg/Nothern dialect is kinda offensiv for american ears. Examples: Techniker is Techniggah, Elektriker is Elektriggah, Mechaniker is Mechaniggah. If you want to hear some example I would recommend the Song Beinhart from Torfrock. They sing in a tippical nothern style.... or Tide TV- Plattdüütsch in Hamburg

If you're interested in German rap, you should give Thomas Pyrin a try. He's very unconventional and not famous at all, but he has the most complex lyrics of every modern song in any language I know. His lyrics are basically literature and even if you're a native speaker you have to listen to it multiple times to even get half of the references. But deepl or other translators should help you out there. Or if you're interested in flow and technique: KKS aka Kool Savas

Better check Kollegah, Sido, Kool Savas. They are currently one of the biggest rappers in our country. Of course, there are many other good musicians. Fard, Asche, Farid Bang, Raf Camora, Fler, Bass Sultan Hengst.... A few more names. Even American rappers have to admit that German rap is the second best. I think it's even better. Especially because we can say what we want without being censored.
