kcking23 There is not a single city in the Midwest that will ever replace Chicago as the top city in the Midwest. Kansas City already replaced St. Louis as the most populated city in Missouri back in 1990, and I think that's the best that K.C. can get at this point. Adding more restaurants, shopping areas etc. would certainly attract more people into moving to Kansas City but that takes time and careful planning. One advantage that K.C. has is that Kansas City is not one of the Rust Belt Midwestern cities (Detroit, Milwaukee, Cleveland, St. Louis, Cincinnati). Since K.C. is lower in crime, poverty, and unemployment than STL that's why Kansas City didn't lose population for as many decades as St. Louis did. STL being one of the Rust Belt Midwestern cities has lost population every decade since the '50s. K.C. lost population in the '70s and '80s, however since the '90s Kansas City has been slowly regaining population.

+Diego Cortez Kinda looks like a laid back town compared to Dallas. I might want to visit.

JasnoGT Yes Kansas City seems like one of the more interesting and desirable Midwestern cities to tour around. K.C. has one of the best skylines in the Midwest, it's certainly a lot better than St. Louis' skyline. Kansas City like the video already says has a nice and pretty looking downtown area as well. I might want to tour there but Chicago, Indianapolis, Columbus, and Minneapolis are all intriguing Midwestern cities too.

Diego Cortez That's true. St.Louis has become more of Missouri's version of Detroit and it's getting worse year after year and North St.Louis Missouri and East St.Louis Illinois are two deadly areas in the midwest.

Diego Cortez lol we aren't trying to be 'better' than any city just trying to build ourselves up! 😂

Andrew Gerstner That's fine with me. Like I said in my earlier statements, I think Kansas City has done a wonderful job of making its downtown and skyline look visually appealing. Those two things alone make me interested in visiting the city.

Need much more downtown,we need outlet shopping areas, more restaurants also other great areas that attract people besides PnL downtown needs to be much more diverse than just one area of the city,we need to become the top city in the midwest chicago has been that for far to long.
