@@tomgunn6585 i dont think that is the takeaway from this quote. While I do agree with your statement, there is some psychological term for this, but essentially, it is the idea that someone who knows more about a field will be more careful, because they know what they don't know, whereas someone new may not understand all the nuances/facets and may believe they know everything about such a field. I disagree with the smart/idiot statement, I would instead say something like experts/laymen, but the core idea remains the same: at a certain point you gotta put down your philosophy books and questions and just make something, regardless of possible consequences because risk is always going to exist

This is 100% one of the best Artists/producers talks I've heard in a long long time some of the common sense knowledge he's dropping is Gold .... and he's breaking it down in simple metaphors and easy to understand diagrams. People get bogged down with trying to be the best producer and sound designer in the world and by doing this they lose their direction and where they wanted to go with this, A wise Grammy-winning producer was told on the come up by someone deep in the game that its 20% skill 80% Bussiness which means that to become successful the most part of getting there is networking and making links with People like managers, artists, tour managers, producers, singers, etc, etc
