@@JansenMerrittthat’s certainly a big factor but the song isn’t exactly KSI’s magnum opus when it comes to songwriting. The beat is fine, the lyrics aren’t great due to how damn generic and corny they are, and Redd and KSI’s performance is nothing more than serviceable. I think the hate is overblown but I struggle to call the song “good”. I’d say it’s aggressively mid or, if I’m feeling nice, okay. I can see that there was an effort to make the song into something special, but I think KSI needs to hone his craft a bit more. The dude can do something special, but he needs to work on his lyricism (amongst other things) before he can achieve that.
