the 1 point deduction was a good call at the correct time, after that tommy barely punched his head again, i think he only did it like 2 times in the clinch way too lightly to cause damage, obviously illegal but not enough to deduct another point. KSI should of won or got the draw for sure but the referee did a good job. And if he wanted to get really picky he could of deducted a point from KSI for clinching and holding every exchange because King Kenny got deducted a point for the same reason and did it far less than KSI

If you actually watched the fight, you'll notice that KSI would be Clinching at every chance he had. 90% of the time, Tommy would disengage from the clinch, waiting for the ref to separate them. While Tommy is being neutral, KSI would filthily throw punches, thus leading to ksi having "far more punches" . Judges will take this into consideration, and it will factor into the score. Little KSI kids like you just look at numbers and claim it was a robbery. You guys are too young to understand how boxing works.

Round 1, 2 and 6 were the most obvious wins. No one should contest that. Tommy literally only connected one punch in round 2. And in round 6 JJ had a couple of power-punches and an overhand that connected. Fury not one. Add that to the point deduction. *And in the clinch they both connected, however JJ had the most uppercuts and hooks that connected. In some Tommy probably hit more, often to the body.

Not even close. KSI didn’t box for even a full minute of that fight. That’s why he lost. He threw out the rules and history of boxing. Decided he’s going to be the main character of an anime story. Completely make up an useable style (that bouncing and arm swinging that lasted for one round before he got tired) Ksi lost because he refused to engage in a boxing match with Tommy. All you casual’s who have only seen influencers fight fail to see that no boxing happened and that’s why he lost. KSI REFUSED TO ENGAGE IN THE SPORT OF BOXING WITH TOMMY. Everytime they “almost” engaged. KSI clinched and waited for the reff to break them up. That looks HORRIBLE in the eyes of the judges. And that was KSI’s ENTIRE strategy. No ksi did not box that night. He thought he could loophole his way around the ruleset. By hitting once on his lunge in then holding on for dear life. But like I said the judges don’t see that as aggression. They see that as desperation from someone who can’t slip.

JJ was the one that held longer, because Tommy's goal wasn't keep holding, but simply prevent a quick counter when he kept missing when JJ kept slipping under his power punches. You're talking about a good boxer. You keep mentioning how he wasn't a boxer. If someone is on the ropes every boxer can simple lean forward and down, and punching without the other person even being able to clinch. So Tommy was shite, and definitely not a boxer that day. You're talking about the rules and history of boxing. Cause JJ never boxed, he was an anime-character, he didn't box one minute, with this beautiful and sacred sport. Judges see how it is. Lets go to another guy, Mayweather for instance. You can look him up when you get your 30 minutes computer time from your mum. Many say he's the best ever, a lot of judges seem to agree, as he's never lost. He's is famous for avoiding punches, slipping with his shoulder. And thus ending in clinches a lot. He's a boxer mate. Tommy has a superior reach, never jabbed. JJ connected jabs. Tommy got JJ against the ropes and ended up in a clinch, that's tragic from Tommy. As I said, Tommy was the one instigating a lot of the clinches. And mentioning sacred boxing rules, hitting someone suddenly after the judge already was between you, out of frustration, must be a rule and against the sacred sport.

I’ve been boxing for a long time. Tommy was a better ring general, landed the more well paced shots over the 6 round period, and showed a bit more composure. Those are what judges score, not hugs. Now if we wanna go scorecards, here’s what it goes down like: 10-9 KSI 9-9 Draw 9-10 Tommy 9-10 Tommy 9-9 Draw 9-10 Tommy 55-57 Tommy. Ugly fight, sick of the clinching, hated the overall pace, but hey, I like high pace, so maybe I’m just biased towards my preferred fight speed.

W sport in general. I know fk all about boxing but i do suzuki cello and in principle its kinda the same. Putting effort into something to the point where hundreds or thousands of people are willing to watch and respect your craft. As much as i would have wanted ksi to win, tommy def fought cleaner in terms of appearance and technique. In a sport with set rules and guidelines, precision and composure is what matters imo. Its still incredible what ksi managed to do, from how he’s improved to how close the game ended up being. The fight may have been ugly but the build up was inevitably going to be the most entertaining part.

Look everyone has losses, what’s important is moving forward and learning from the experience. Sure KSI can be a little egoistical sometimes and said he’ll destroy Fury but that’s just boxing, 90% of the time the fighters say they’re gonna win by knockout or they’re gonna “plow through” their opponent but everyone says that and it’s usually to get under your opponents skin and promote the fight. But if JJ didn’t have this much confidence, self hype and believing in himself, then who was? So end of the day, personally I’ll say I am proud, I’m proud of how far he’s come as an individual, does he have a lot more to learn and needs to fix up his boxing style?
