How to Install Stable Diffusion on Ubuntu || Run Stable Diffusion AI on Linux

In this video tutorial, learn how to download, install and use stable diffusion on ubuntu to generate Images from text descriptions. Stable diffusion is a free and open-source text-to-image AI generator. For instance, if you have a picture in your mind, you can describe it in text format, known as prompt and stable diffusion AI will generate the corresponding picture using the pre-defined data set models.
With That being said, let’s proceed and start installing stable diffusion on Ubuntu. The procedure is similar for any linux distribution.

I got it running right away, and it found the AMD internal cards, but I cant find the setup screen at the bottom of this screen YT video, Then I rebooted. It seemed like it installed models, but my models folders are empty.... any idea?

weirdly enough, easydiffusion works on linux, and isn't even developed anymore, but A1111 and WebUI Forge will not install on Linux without expert level python problems

can u tell how to install xformer which improves stable diffusion performance. For windows they add one line in some file, but on linux i failed to find that file

I'm using a 5600 xt, that should be a compatible gpu, but the program keeps saying "No compatible graphics card found". Does anyone know how to fix this? I'm using Fedora

Make sure you have setup the proprietary drivers that can talk to your GPU. Then Stable Diffusion will detect your Graphic card.

Yes. I've just installed it on Linux Mint 21.2 and it works smoothly. However, the script downloaded tons of files before the stable diffusion started running. Also, I had to manually type localhost:9000 since my FF failed to open automatically. Have you encountered issues or got stuck somewhere?

Not working. I'm using Arch with GTX 1050ti and when I start webui.sh I see an error: torch.cuda.OutOfMemoryError: CUDA out of memory. Foocus v2 is working though

its possible but its won run as intended. It will slow down the entire system. AI models require NVIDIA GPU drivers.
