The engine heat issue you mentioned is actually a great unintended benefit. The tank shape leads you to keep your knees tucked in. That transfers the heat which is great when it's chilly or cold. Next time you ride in any temp, at any speed,, just spread your knees out and you'll find that you're instantly cool and comfortable. I have the TS660 and a T100 and love both for totally different reasons.

Bike looks amazing! Ive been looking at them. I went to look at the trident 660 and sat on this- feels amazing too. It has the looks of a sport bike but the feel of a ADV or everyday upright bike. Hard to beat i think.

It is NOT an ADV, (in fact, calling it a Tiger is a pretty questionable move), but the seating position is way more upright and the suspension way more present than on Trident.

I just got this bike as well! Same color and everything! I have experienced the same issue with the automatic cancelling with the turn signals. I also agree that the turn signal selector button isn’t very tactile. On my last ride, I made a point of really pushing the button hard to the side, and it seemed to improve the automatic cancelling so it would stay on until I actually turned. I thought maybe I hadn’t been fully engaging the turn signals previously and that was the problem. Too soon to tell if that’s the real issue but thought I’d share just in case.
@Jayhawk37762 жыл бұрын
Same issue with the cold start too! Also with the windscreen. I’m 6’1 and have been using the windscreen everywhere from the highest to the lowest position depending on speed and crosswinds. My default has been about halfway up.

FYI on the turn signals. I learned on my test ride it has a 2 stage function. A slight activation engages it for 3 seconds and is intended for use when changing lanes and will quickly turn off after you completed your lane change, which is assumed by Triumph to take 3 seconds. Pressing and holding the button just a bit longer engages it for a turn, which will keep it on until the turn is complete. I believe the Tiger 900 has the option in the menu system to disengage the lane change function. I don't believe the Sport 660 allows you to disengage it. I personally don't like the lane change function.

@@KSSTUDIOS with the negative points you make would you still buy the bike again? I ask because I was looking at the Tiger and Yamaha Tracer 7 gt (which I don't think you get in the US). Having tried both bikes and not being able to make up my mind it was basically a case of availability The Tracer wouldn't have been available till April 2023 as it's a new model whilst the Tiger being a current model was available straight away. In the end I saw a Tiger demonstrator in a main dealer showroom already with luggage rack, hand guards and panniers fitted for a very good price and with the other optional extras I'm having fitted came quite a way under what the price of the Tracer would have been (with extras I would have had fitted) even though the Tracer has the panniers and luggage rack as standard. The Tiger was also in red which is £100 dearer if added as an option. I just hope I've made the right decision.

Great video! I've got 2K miles on mine, and absolutely love it! It's a fantastic little canyon/mountain carver. The ergo's are spot-on perfect. In your lighting segment @6:00 I'm surprised you didn't mention the rear turn signals. In the US, our rear signals are red, and they also light with the brake light, for extra conspicuity. Also, on cold-starts, my bike takes maybe 1-2 seconds longer to start, but nothing like what your bike is doing.

I recently sold my Harley FLHR due to the "normal Harley engine vibration" (not engine sound; I had wonderful mufflers on it), that actually began to affect my inner ear when stuck in NJ/NY area traffic. The low end idle vibration bothered my ears and hearing the next day. I found your video quite informative. Enjoyed the fact that you present pros/cons. Hope to test ride one. Really wondering what your thought are on engine vibration, not a riding speeds (which you covered) but at idle, stuck in traffic or at traffic lights. Hope to hear back from you.

Any bike engine is going to 'get hot'...though it has been 'mentioned' that this bike does feel very warm after some time, but, how it may feel... can also depend on whether you are a 'crotch' rider or scoot your but back on the seat. I sit back, to get the more 'upright' though then slightly lean in at the shoulder - but your uncovered legs [really] on any bike if you are in shorts will feel engine heat. I always ride in jeans.
